There isn't any potential. He's already a proven bust

C'mon man, outside of St. Mary's, BYU, and San Francisco, the WCC is a bunch of cupcakes. I recall a few bigs on those aforementioned teams working Chet over on several plays. That said, he had some awesome performances and I consider he and Paolo to be both extremely impressive and both solidified their spots as consensus top 3 picks. You do an injustice to your argument to suggest the WCC and ACC are equivalent conferences regarding level of competition.

The ACC sucked this year. Folks just want to casually assumed the ACC had a plethora of good teams. They didn’t

Fair enough, but it's clear the overall competition level of the ACC is higher than the WCC. Now granted, the Zags play a brutal non conference schedule, but the WCC gives than a dozen or so cupcake games every season. So given their rough numbers of 14/10 for Chet and 17/7 for Paolo, I'd say they both properly held their own as freshmen. Both are legit top 3 picks.

I think they could all be busts.

I don't see that sure fire superstar or guaranteed multiple time all star. Jabari may have the higher floor but he could also end up as just another spot up role player. Don't get me wrong, either could end up a star but neither seems like a guarantee.

My actual dream scenario would be us getting the first pick, Thunder getting 3rd, and we trade down to them for our 2024 pick back and 2025 swap rights removed.

I think Jabari has a chance to be what Jaren Jackson Jr thinks he is

    Gimmick or basic math?

    Team A
    Quad 1 - 15 games
    Quad 2 - 2 games
    Quad 3 - 2 games
    Quad 4 - 13 games

    Team B
    Quad 1 - 15 games
    Quad 2 - 8 games
    Quad 3 - 8 games
    Quad 4 - 8 games

    Team A = Gonzaga
    Non-Conference Quad 1(3 -3)

    Texas Tech - W
    Duke - L
    UCLA - W
    Arkansas - L
    Texas - W
    Memphis - W
    Alabama - L

    Team B: Duke
    Non-conference Quad 1(5-1)

    Gonzaga - W
    Texas Tech - W
    UK - W
    Arkansas - W
The Ohio State University - L
    Michigan State - W

It's just basic math, one team faced more higher ranked teams.

14-10 against cupcakes is hardly top 3 territory in the NBA draft. I keep saying if he played anywhere other than Gonzaga he would be a mid to late first round pick. My eyes told me Timme was the much better player in the tournament and the guy carrying the team, not the foul prone overmatched Holmgren.

Soo this is funny, you had to include the ncaa tourney which isn't actually known until the season is over who a team plays. Why? Oh because Duke barely played anyone worth mentioning. LMFAO casuals. Yeah the zags had a tougher schedule.

Timme was one of the best college players. Holmgren is a top 3 pick because of his size, wingspan, defensive instincts, and potential. I do agree his numbers were padded by playing in a weak conference, but he still would be a top 5 pick if he played in ACC, Big 12, or any other conference.
