Who do you think Stone will choose with 1st or 2nd pick?

to me its pretty simple. the two most important traits in the modern nba are shooting and defensive versatility. jabari gives you the most of both, chet next.

why do you think the rockets would be leaning Paolo?

What about picking #3 and Paolo is still there?

I'd be happy with any of those three. The really difficult choice is at #4 or #5, because then you not only have to find your guy, but you must look at the second pick as complementary to the first pick and you may feel pressed to make a trade for a player that fills that role. If you have one of the top 3 picks, your baseline on the second pick is BPA or best fit without much pressure--which leaves you with lots of options (including the ability to say no) if you want to make a move.

 

Smith or Holgrem at 1. & 2. I think Jabari should be #1 though.

I have a feeling Stone likes Banchero based on his past picks. He rates 1v1 isolation play very highly.

Ya'll got a lot of goofy takes about Paolo in this thread. Saving for future reference.

 

I may completely wrong. But. I believe Paolo could be a pretty great player. I think he is more conventional and easier to find though a trade if you wanted one more “shot creator”

Where as Chet and Jabari are seemingly elite and their skill shooting or defense. Again I may be wrong. I think though you add that elite skill variable to a team if you can because it is more rare and hard to duplicate.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Paolo is #1 on Patrick’s board.

 

I hope Chet is gone by the time we pick. High risk, high upside. I can't remember when a potential #1 pick has had so much downside risk without preexisting injuries.

Honestly, I look at this draft and see Jabari, then Banchero....after that, it's a crapshoot. esp. compared to last year's historic haul.

This is similar to thinking that Easterby is making the picks over Caserio.

 

I've been Paulo from the start. It's nothing against Jabari or Chet. Everyone has their preference. Paulo would be my pick, even at 1 (unless we can trade back to 3 ala Jayson Tatum).

 

If we draft him (I like his addition) then we really need to trade C.Wood and give Paulo all his minutes.

Wood should be moved regardless of the pick(s). Empty stats player.

 

I still like all three of the top bigs with Chet being my preference.

I can go either way on Paolo or Jabari depending the day of the week and the humidity level.
