I was interested to see a little of what people were saying about Zelensky's Jewishness back in 2019 when he was elected. I found this interesting article from NYT right after his election that talks about his Jewishness in the campaign, but also a lot about the Ukrainian Jewish community, the legacy of pogroms, Russia's nazi-narrative going back to 2014, the problem of schism in the orthodox church, and more.
