Will there be a place to go for Free Agent signings after the 7th round is completed?

Solid hard nosed football players. Hopefully they are integral into building a solid core.

They very well could have a franchise first shut down cornerback. A rowdy left guard to open up holes for the running game. A defensive monster of a safety. Another genuine targets of a wide receiver. Plus a hard nosed in your face running back. Not to mention a speed demon of a LB patrolling the line.

    A successful selection of guys.

Unfortunately this is very close to what I wanted.. and they could have done that WITH STINGLEY.

Going Stingley AND Ojabo with premium picks in rounds 1 and 2 takes on massive injury risk. I can see why we passed on Ojabo.

Not sure what formula they are exactly using but that seems about right. The Jets and Ravens’ class is pretty sick.

Pretty much my exact thoughts. Day 1 was bit of a mixed bag and thought we passed on some major talent. Missing out on Hall to start the 2nd round sucked but Pierce lessened the sting just a bit. Metchie might be my favorite pick of the class.

Meh, I don’t know. I’m glad we focused more on beefing up the line rather than spending such massive value in the secondary. Not to mention our trade back allowed many of our trades up later. Personally, I would have gone with one of the tackles at 3 and Hamilton at 13, but that’s unfair to look back like that. I’m generally fine with Stingley and Green.

Is it true the Texans were prepared to get Hall in the second, jets jumped ahead knowing that?

    No.
But people want to believe it’s true. Jets were probably scared we would take him when they were trying to get back into the first round to take him.

Yup…if the Texans really wanted him they would have traded up knowing the chances of getting jumped were high. The more I read about Pierce the more I am content with the way it all ended up going.

Right, it seems the Texans let the board fall how it did. If they wanted a specific player, they moved up to take him. They did it multiple times during this draft.

Hall’s workload is concerning. Maybe the jets run him into the ground and don’t give him a second contract

Best pick this draft was 3rd round LAST draft.
    Just saying.
    Mills better than anyone available.
Without him, team would be drafting QB that went 20 this draft but probably at 3....

Love it when the draft “analysts” who had no idea what teams valued based on their predraft rankings now go back and try to “grade” drafts. How many picks/rounds did we see Kiper’s best available list literally not change at all? So what are you grading the teams on? How closely they matched up with your hack analysis I assume. Don’t really understand the point of the mock draft industry.
