    I'm all for a unitary government with national elections run by the federal government and getting rid of the electoral college. Is that the French system? Let's do it.

    And they generally have 1 system. Most countries generally have 1 system. We are weird. We generally have 50 varying systems with the national government occasionally stepping in via legislation or the courts to impact the rules (Veteran voting laws, disabled voting laws, racial minority voting laws, one person one vote etc.). I'm all for amending the Constitution and making it one system. We're all connected now.
