From what Casserio hinted at in his remarks and what Lance Z was hearing, it seems like Green was going to be the pick at 13 anyway
Every GM in the history of the draft has gotten the player they "wanted" all along. Except BoB apparently.
Not really. He throws a beautiful pass. It is what it is. Hell, I said the same thing about Shane Buechele. Kyle Allen’s better though...
Since Seattle is looking for QB and several are expected to go off the board in the top of the 2nd, Perhaps a trade of 37, 80 and perhaps a 4th for 40 and 41 would get us Mafe and Hall. Neither of which is likely to fall to 80.
He’s an expiring and the main reason you do it is for the pick, granted we don’t need anymore picks for this year
What are some draft coverage alternatives? I turned off ESPN after Mike Greenburg said "fast and furious" for the 11th time, I think that was during the 3rd pick. Just checked my phone occasionally after that.
I’m getting the sense it might be a RB with the first pick tonight. Many of you have said it but I think Breece Hall’s skill set fits with what I imagine the offense will look like. I also like the contrast with Mack as the other RB. Murray and Spiller are good too but I have Hall as RB1 in this draft
My plan for tonight would be to trade back up into round 2 using a #2 next year and the lower #3... not sure on points for that... Ideally would like to see them pickup Nakobe Dean and Breece Hall... Would take some luck for both to be on the board... Would then use the high #3 on Kenneth Walker if available and hedge my running backs... if not, would look for edge rusher...
Betcha the NFL ain't got the balls to suspend deshaun Watson 2 years for his 22 allegations like the MLB suspended Trevor Bauer
Historically, have the Patriots ever drafted running backs as high as the 2nd or 3rd rounds? I know "The Patriots Way" is not necessarily how Caserio will run his own team, but if it was generally the philosophy that RB can be had in much later rounds or off the street, I would be surprised if they draft one in the 2nd or 3rd today. Edit: Did a bit of research and the Patriots draft Damien Harris and Sony Michel in the 3rd and 2nd rounds, respectively. So apparently they are good with that approach if they like the RB.
