Mark Berman interviewed Les Alexander. Les said he expected the trade would get done. When Berman asked if he had any doubts it would get done, Alexander said, "No."

Berman also interviewed Nate Peake, one of Francis' agents, who said Francis likes Orlando and wants to play for them. He said, "I won't say it is done, but I expect we'll get it done over the weekend." He said there were just a few details left to be worked out between the teams.

I love Berman for questions like this:

Berman: So, in your heart of hearts, do you think this deal will go through?

    Alexander: Yes.

    hey that's solid man.

no we can try to shore up our roster.

    --backup center
    --athletic pf
    --solid point guard

but i guess i can live with just number 3... and then play with howard, and get a serviceable backup center for cheap. right now yao needs a bodyguard type frontcourt partner... but maybe in a few years he won't... and in a few years is when we should be contending anyway. still as long as we get an okay point, the team will be better than before.

He also played a taped phone conversation with Francis agent in Washington doing more damge control saying stuff like "Steve only wanted to know how Orlando planned to use him" "He talked with them and all is good now" blah blah blah.

Good. How often do you get a Top 5 superstar yet to reach his prime.

    Unbelievable.

    Thx Jeff,

You are REALLY are on top of the ball!!!!

WOW. T-Mac and Sha...err... I mean Yao. What a powerful duo those two will be. More powerful than:

    1. Bonnie and Clyde
    2. Sonny and Cher,
    3. Celine Dion and Urethra Franklin.

Toyota Center will be rockin' this year like VH1 Divas Live.

    :D

Nate Peake. What can I say about this guy?

How anyone with an IQ bigger than their shoe size can have him as an agent, or in any position of authority in regards to their well-being is beyond comprehension.

What I love about Peake is the picture of him. It's like a full length shot of him turned sideways and turned to look at the camera. I half expect him to be pointing. It's hilarious.
