I'm just airing my opinion on how I feel about those animals. I'm not out fighting to change the law or protesting. Chill out. I'll tell you what's really dangerous. People in power spreading anti-gay hate, and actually proposing hundreds of new laws already this year to strip their rights. I'll tell you what's dangerous. A party spreading hate against anyone who doesn't agree with their hypocritical "Christian" values, lies, and bigotry. I'll tell you what's dangerous. A party supporting a man who loves Putin, and hates Americans who don't kiss his butt. A man who ridicules Biden yet praises Putin is a dangerous man. A man who incites a coup to stay in power is a dangerous man. A party who backs him is much more dangerous than me just airing my opinions on child abusers.
no what's dangerous are self-righteous "liberals" who would forfeit basic human rights in the name of The Cause
LOL at self righteous for despising child abusers and just ranting in a forum. It figures you would think that's more dangerous than lawmakers stripping away human rights and stirring racial and anti-gay hate, or inciting a coup to overthrow the vote.
don't care what your stance is on child abusers. your stance on basic human rights scares the bejeezus out of me
The real politicians stripping human rights, voting rights, and should be what scares you, not me just calling child abusers animals. Funny how you aren't scared of the things those racists and bigots say and do, but are terrified when I rant about child abusers and am not in a position to actually ruin people's lives or destroy democracy like some.
I agree this is a horrible horrible story but that doesn't mean we do away with core Constitutional principles. Giving even the worst of the worst a trial isn't only about mercy or sympathy for those accused but about who we are as a society. Besides that at the minimum if any of use were accused or framed of something heinous I'm pretty sure we would want due process and the chance to defend ourselves in trial.
Whelp, the Founding Fathers lived 250 years ago and are now enshrined in the American Myth. They didn't think childrens rights were a bfd back then, so we can't rely on their beardly wisdom. Heck, the drive to protect children away from deadbeat parents or employers mostly sprang up in the 1900s. That's pretty small in the history of things. Most cultures still think parents ultimately know what's best for their kids, underage drinking or not... I guess good ol Marx/Engels tried to do something about it by wanting to abolish the concept of a family...worked great in countries that tried to do it! Humanity collectively isn't there yet, but I'd rather live in a country that supports basic rights than one that doesn't. Maybe some genius will solve the child abuse issue in another 200-1000 years while not turning us all into pod people.
Horrific. Should be a slam dunk verdict unless the reporting is not accurate or the police report is wrong or... why a trial is always necessary and flash justice should not be allowed.
I don’t think anybody is disagreeing child abuse shouldn’t be heavily punished The disagreement is saying someone shouldn’t have a trial, how do you know if someone did something illegal if they don’t get a trial? What if someone who dislikes you falsely claims that you are abusing your children? Should that person be able to kill you no questions no trial? This is just an incredibly stupid (sorry) argument
You should get a fair trial, and in certain instances like this the punishment shouldn’t be life in prison it should be drowning in a barrel of whiskey. People that torture kids and animals should have the same done to them and televised. If you don’t have a trial you can’t prove guilt
About the only way they get off this is if the government screws it up, and they tend to not deliberately "accidentally" screw ones like these up
Just an awful, awful thing to do to a child. FOUR at that! To be perfectly honest. I sometimes feel the same after reading stories along similar lines. I've thought, too, that some crimes deserve a harsher penalty than death even. But I read stories like the one from a few days ago and wonder... Just glad I don't have to make the call I suppose. South Carolina to Execute Richard Moore by Firing Squad Why he's being executed... Spoiler Mr. Moore, who is Black, was unarmed when he entered a Spartanburg convenience store in 1999. The clerk, James Mahoney, was white and armed with a pistol. As the two men struggled over the gun, Mr. Moore was shot in the arm and Mr. Mahoney suffered a fatal gunshot wound in the chest. Mr. Moore testified he grabbed a bag of money as an after-thought as he left the store and immediately went to a friend’s home to seek help for his injury. The friend testified that Mr. Moore said he had done something bad and needed to turn himself in. When the friend refused to take Mr. Moore to the emergency room, he tried to drive himself but struck a telephone pole. A passing officer saw the accident and, when he approached, Mr. Moore got out of his truck, laid down in the road, and said, “I did it, I did it, I give up, I give up.”
You must have a lot of people on ignore if you believe @deb4rockets is anywhere near this site's biggest troll.
Anyway, I said all I have to say. I'll see if the ones outraged about it actually get outraged over Coming from you that means nothing to me. People who are tagging me in their posts are the trolls.
I understand. Perhaps one day I can ride up there on your high horse and look down on everyone who disagrees with you.
