I'd like any of the three, but I just think Hudson and Barry lack the experience that Fisher has. He may not have been the most important player on the lakers, but he was integral in their three championship runs, and would have a similar role here I believe.

I would love to get Brent Barry, but that is if he is affordable and if he wants to play w/ us.

I believe that Brent Barry won this poll a couple of days ago.

Brent Barry, but he will be 34 next season, so maybe a 2 year deal. Say 5-6M for 2 years. He probably wants a longer deal though.

Brent Barry is close to God status here, I'll bet anyone $100,000,000,000,000.00 that he'll win. If by some extraordinary circumstances he doesn't win I'll pay up in the year 2104, honest.

I wouldn't even consider Derek Fisher. The canidates should be Barry,Hudson, and Van Exel.

He sure played point guard in Seattle ever since Payton was traded and Ray Allen has been their starting two....

I didn't know Barry would be 33 this year. Wow. Thought he was younger for some reason.

Fisher is 29. He turns 30 in August.

I agree with daRox about the FG %, though. Career FG% of .397. Ugh. And you can't really make the argument that it'll go up with Yao and T-Mac, since he had the same thing but better with Shaq and Kobe.

Still, he has the best track record of playoff experience, solid D, and dumping the ball into the big man . . .

Why is everybody so high on Fisher and low on Lue? Lue is younger and cheaper. He averaged 10ppg and 4apg an the worst team in the NBA. He also didn't have Kobe, Shaq, and Malone to play off of, just McGrady. In my opinion they are pretty close in skill level, and if we receive Lue in the trade, there is really no reason to go after Fisher.
With that said, I'm all for Barry. I think he is considerably better than Fisher and can be had for probably the same price.

I would prefer Barry, but Fisher is more of a JVG type player because of his defensive play. For that reason I have a feeling the Rockets are going to get him.

    Bobby Sura.

I think he has the size and playmaking abilities of Brent Barry and the tenacity and feistiness of Derek Fisher. Plus, he’s a much better defender then both.
