I like Jabari Smith, Chet Holmgren, Ousmane Dieng, Jalen Duren, Benedict Mathurin, Dyson Daniels, Nikola Jovic and Patrick Baldwin Jr

I dont like Keegan Murray and Aj Griffin. Griffin is extremely injury prone and Murray is old AF (22 yrs old this year) and only a 6'8 PF.

    Jabari - he’s a 6’10” Klay Thompson with upside to be more…

Thick or skinny is not the reason for GSW win in 2018 playoffs.

It was the refereeing and the injuries.

Did you even watch the games?

I watched 4 of those games live.

Eason is the prototype basketball defender. Big enough to battle in the post but nimble enough to hang with wings on the perimeter. Plus length and with some dog in him. I think he could be similar to Patrick Williams and Anunoby defensively.

I’m a fan of Jalen Johnson and wanted the Rockets to draft him. But the Hawks aren’t trading him now, obviously.

Would the Spurs trade the #9 for Wood + Tate + BKN/MIL 1st?

I'm hoping for Chet or Sharpe, but I'd still be happy with Jabari or Banchero.

    I'd explore both options.

I'd like to get 3 players on draft day. All 3 need to be long 2 way elite defenders.

    Should have clarified, post all
Star Iggy. More in the star glue guy, capable of taking over but more 2 way Uber role player.

He might have the upside to be peak level production Iggy, the skillset is there

Seems Jabari Smith is the safest choice amongst those 3 to get an all-star caliber player that won't break down nor be a defensive liability. You get a guy who will stretch the floor, athletic, provide good defense, strong finisher, and good motor and basketball IQ.

I wouldn’t be mad if we got Jabari at all. He’s not a strong finisher yet though.
That’s one of my issues with him

That #5 spot is the toughest in the lotto. Although Murray is a Sophomore, he's as old as a Jr. Historically, guys upperclassmen (his age or older) taken in the lotto typically don't pan out.

Griffin's injury history scares me off too, although maybe the rockets doctor's are put at ease after reviewing his medicals? you and I won't know so we have to just hope to avoid.

Sharpe is totally unproven. Without a year of translatable data from Gleague or NCAA you really can't tell. This time last year Hardy was a top 3 pick too. If he skipped college and the GLeague we'd be considering him at #5 whereas with his League data scouts have put him mid to late first round. That could very well be the case for Sharpe. Of course he could also prove to be worth a high lotto pick. risky.

I like your "like" list. what makes you keep banchero and ivey off?

Holmgren slightly over Smith, would be over the moon if we landed either.

I've cooled a little on Ivey, so he would be a tier lower now, but still slightly ahead of Banchero.

LOL "Look, Houston finished dead last in defense last year so Chet, a very elite defender coming out of Gonzaga, would be the worst fit for the Rockets. On the offensive end, it's not like Houston has a need for a stretch big or has had any luck in getting stretch bigs touches. Christian Wood only averaged 17-19 a night so we can completely forget about Holmgren scoring anything"

It's like they've never seen the Rockets play. Seriously, Chet would be fantastic for what we need.

The writer doesn't reek of bias at all!

I wonder who his favorite team is and who his favorite player in the draft is . . . .
