    Respond to this:

Do you prefer Jalen Green or Evan Mobley?

You will probably dodge that because you just don’t like being told what to do

Right now I don't have a preference, but I think if Mobley reaches his full potential he will be more valuable than Green.

    Happy?

So you are a Jalen Green hater

This is my only account though. Good speed man, Jalen will proof the doubters wrong soon.

Mobley never gonna average 25+ like my boy Jalen

    Like clockwork, indeed.

So if I don't favor a guy over another guy, I'm a hater?

It's very telling that you think averaging 25+ means he will be a better player.

Where did you get, I am doubting on Green, can't they both be very good players?

Really want to see his official measurements, especially the wingspan, weight and standing reach.

He had a 7'6" wingspan a little over a year ago but some around the Gonzaga basketball program have said it now is 7'8" or so.... I like him at either length, but if he really has a 7'8" wingspan with his narrow shoulders, his standing reach is going to be really impressive.

Dude you been loving on Cade and Mobley in all these threads. I’ve yet to run into some Green love.

Cade I understand - Mobley I don’t. Thinking the tall rebounding defense guy has higher potential than someone who can be the next Kobe Bryant is - meh

and that’s why I take Chet #1. His position versatility, handles, and defense. He has all the skills to dominate on offense but he’ll be able to guard all 5 positions on the court and be a monster in transition from day one. He won’t need the ball to impact the game. His mid and long range shooting will continue to develop, as will his post game as he puts on more muscle. But hard to teach size, handles and defensive instincts. He’s got those in spades.

Kobe Bryant wouldn't be Kobe Bryant in this era.... and I will take a tall rebounding guy like Tim Duncan over Kobe Bryant.... as Duncan was the better player.

I hope Green is a better player than Mobley long term..... but the idea that Mobley doesn't have a high ceiling is silly..... Mobley has a very high ceiling.

Defensively he can impact the game at a very rare level in the modern game. In the past a big guy that could shut down the post was the most valuable asset... then the game changed, and now having someone long enough and big enough to be very good in the post, but also has the motor, IQ and feet to switch and cover the perimeter is the ultimate defensive player.... Chet can do that, but he also has a very strong second step to make up lost ground.

He can impact the basketball at the ultimate level. Essentially a bigger and better version of Kirilenko on defense that can also hit the boards and has great instincts for shot blocking.

Only a handful of guys in the league can impact a game like that over the last 10-15 years.... Draymond Green being the primary one. There are better post defenders than Green, there are better perimeter defenders than Green... and there are better players at switching or picking up players than Green...... but no one else can do ALL of these things at a high level like Draymond.... and that is the type of skill set Chet has.

What makes Chet a "monster in transition" in your opinion? When I watch Chet Im not looking at the most fluid 7 footer I've seen. He is kind of slow and deliberate and I highly doubt that all the "guard skills" to break defenders off the dribble in the WCC will be an everyday occurrence in the NBA especially his dribble game vs athletic forwards. His coast to coast stuff is pretty cool, but I think its somewhat of a novelty. I like that he is a capable 3 point shooter and a freak off ball defender. His screen setting leaves some to be desired. I have my doubts about his one on one post defense and how much of a factor he can be as an offensive initiator. All those questions AFTER he proves he can hang with the big boys physically. Huge upside when all the boxes get checked. I like that he's OK with being a high level role player and his worth wont be determined by his touches. I can see Jalen going apeshit because of a guy like Chet which is good for the team.

Fake news or is Stone really this stupid that he's leaked his preference this far in advance of the draft.

    AGAIN.

He is getting dunked on in the NBA on those 1st 2 plays.

It's the Dirk move that still keeps me intrigued, that he have several levels of untapped potential offensively.

The whole defense thing is secondary to me.

You can’t help yourself. That first block is literally against a top prospect, the next “Dwight Howard”

Give me the high IQ player, all things being equal.

Hell give me the best 2 way player, all things being equal.

For shets and giggles, draft the guy who plays with an attitude.

For luvagawd just draft Chet Holmgren!

@Clutch Stone is trying to get other teams to select Paolo and Chet to increase the Rockets chances of getting Jabari if they get the third pick.

Watch any game when he leads fast break.

As for being slow and deliberate, ask Steph how it feels to have Chet juke him out of his socks.

He is mediocre in transition on the first step, but he has a very good second step and is pretty quick once he gets going. He also finishes at a very high rate inside in transition and passes very well. At Gonzaga they purposely had him be the trailer in transition. I have some real questions about his ability to put the ball on the floor and break people down in the half court, but he is good at in the full court.

He is a 40% three point shooter on volume and has good form, he gets his shot off with ease over taller players.... that is a real nice weapon. He is an active but mediocre screen setter at this point because of his weight. He defended the post overall this year. He can be pinned down there, but he is relentless, is very long and has good instincts so he overall does well defending the post. He and the other super long kid coming out next year also are masters of the pin block from behind.

His upside is as high as anyone in the draft.

With his excellent ability to finish inside, his ability to flash to the basket.... to get out in transition, hit 3's and even hit fadeaways.... he can score a fairly high amount without ever breaking his man off the dribble - and he is most likely going to do so at a high efficiency.

If he DOES improve his handle and can break guys down off the dribble (which I am skeptical of) then he will be an all time type player.

Someone that is an elite defender, that rebounds, blocks shots, gets out in transition, shoots 3's at a high level and finishes inside really isn't a role player..... He is the rare player that can make a massive impact without scoring 25 points a night.

His floor is very high if he stays healthy.
