I personally think Christopher will be the perfect sixth man replacement for Gordon. Let Green and KPJ stagger with Christopher off the bench as the 2 with whoever is in the game between Green and KPJ as the 1. I could see KPJ, Green, and Christopher playing together in a sort of "death" lineup, but I'd prefer to gain some size on the wings for the starting unit.
I'm all about us needing length and athleticism, above all...at the 3-5...I just liked what I saw when these guys were on the court together. Especially considering, they didn't really have a frontline with them this year...Give them an older Sengun, and length and athleticism along the front...
Tate needs to come off the bench. Rockets need a true 7ft center or another 6'10 Forward to mix with Wood and Sengun
I think our answers are already here. First, move on from this offense. The main answer is sitting on the shelf, Wall. Porter’s role is 6th man. That said, Nix and Christopher need time see what we truly have. Players need constant every nights minimum. Nix = 8 / Christopher = 15+ / Draft B = 5 / Draft A = 20 / Garuba = 15+ The first 1/2 is where this needs to happen on the nightly, let Porter & Green come back. Wall has value so use him. Wall / Porter / Christopher / Nix Green / Porter / Christopher Martin / Porter / Draft B Draft A / Martin / Garuba / Draft B Sengun / Garuba / Draft A Any one not mentioned needs to be moved
We have enough guards......we are set for the 1 and 2. We have only 1 true SF in KMJ - we need more height there....... We have 2 PFs...in Wood and Sengun - we need more height and athleticism here......particularly on D. Center - we don't really have one. DD
IMHO - these 3 + adding Rondo to provide the mentality would be excellent. As for a longer 3, sure. Considering the roster and draft permutations Green or Sharpe at 2/3? Not shabby.
Using that search, turns out JC, JG and KPJ together had the 11th best net rating out of all 3-man lineups (56 total) that played a minimum of 175 minutes together, a relatively solid -0.7 (in only 178 minutes played together). Also the 4th best def rating at 108.6 The rest of the top of the net ratings ranking is made up of KMJ, EG, GM and CW combos mixed in. Limited sample size, but interesting! Supports the good chemistry theory. @Plowman
…and the young threesome needs themselves the irascible yet smartsmartsmart Rondo to help with the other part of their development.
They have decent wingspans it could work, probably would help with a bigger 4 then Tate and without Wood being the C.
I actually think KPJ gives up the ball alot more in the 3 guard lineup with JC. Seen him plenty of times let JC run the point while they are playing together.
Amen brother. Jalen was just a disaster those last few weeks when KPJ was going off. Did you see how his usage and stats just fell off the face of the earth as Porter held him back?
Stone needs to get rid of Gordon so Silas does not feel obligated to keep Jaygup down. Whether it’s starting or as six man he should be getting 30 mins a game. KPJ, Green, JGup play together depending on matchup. Tate either needs to be gone or be a valuable energy guy off the bench. In spite of all the takes to the contrary, Sengun is a center and will do just fine if we get a defensive force at the 4. He muscled up with some of the best this year and primarily lost those battles because of lack of upper body strength not height. If he doesn’t put in the work to put 20 lbs of muscle this off-season then you have a problem. I think odds are that Sengun gets much stronger and becomes a better 3 pt shooter this off-season. Please Lord, give us Chet, Jabari, or Myles Turner.
Yeah... not a fan of bringing in Rondo at all considering the issues KPJ has had. Rondo is not exactly the shining star of mental stability and the last thing I want is for KPJ to pick any of his shenanigans up. I rather we pursue Rubio instead.
