What are your perfect movies? 10/10, can watch over and over. Not necessarily your favorite, but absolutely the best you've ever seen, from opening to close? The few I can think of: The Matrix There Will Be Blood The Shawshank Redemption Blade Runner Very Close: Scott Pilgrim vs The World Mad Max Fury Road The Shining Goodfellas
I know I'm probably wrong...but Fury Road?!? I'd put Mad Max 2 (The Road Warrior) as best in the series...and in the Very Close category.
Mad Max Fury Road is a masterpiece I really loved Interstellar. I just re-watched Forrest Gump last night and that movie feels timeless to me. Se7en, Godfather, Back to the Future are up there too.
No Country for Old Men Alien Kubrich - Full Metal Jacket, Shining, 2001, and yes...Eyes Wide Shut Godfather part 2
As an action movie, Die Hard. I can go through umpteen different reasons I think that, and I've done so on this website many times before, so I'll spare you that trauma.
In addition to those that have already been mentioned.... Aitplane! The Empire Strikes Back Singin' in the Rain Excalibur Once Upon a Time in the West Casino Royale
I love the classic comedies. I can recite the entirety of the following movies word-for-word. Literally from beginning to end. Vacation (greatest movie ever made) The Blues Brothers Caddyshack Animal House Blazing Saddles Airplane
Some good ones here but what is a perfect movie? A movie you enjoyed the entire way through? A movie that had no major flaws in script or Characters? I will take a stab. Godfather I II Aliens I II Anchorman Starship Troopers, A personal favorite, not only a great action movie, but it captured a totalitarian society perfectly.
Django Million ways to die in the west Office Space Ratatouille Grand Budapest Hotel Rango They are all perfect to me. Any night you can throw one of these on, no matter the day you've had before it, and it's just a good night bruh.
The Art of Self Defense is criminally underrated. Yes, it's bound to offend nearly everyone, including myself, which is why I've never spoken of it, but god if it doesn't ring true on many levels. (I cant remember the last time I laughed harder.) If you're thinking about watching it do yourself a favor and don't watch the entire trailer. It gives nearly everything away. I would second a lot of what most have already mentioned, too.
After reading the post above I realized I may have seen Scott Pilgrim (or parts of it) dozens of times.
