I envision Chet playing the role of weakside defender / shot blocker while Sengun is the primary defender who can bump and dislodge opposing centers.

Absolutely agree, like Mobley, Holmgren's NBA position is the 4.

He can play small ball 5 when opposing team goes small.

But Chet is a stretch 4.

Banchero averaged 17 PPG as 1st option for Duke.

Chet averaged 14 PPG as 2nd option (first half season was 3rd option).

Chet is also a better EFG%, better finisher at rim and better 3P%.

And of course he is head and shoulders better defensively in every way.

It was bullshyte then and its bullshyte now.

It was pure gaslighting by posters repeating propoganda nonsense ad nauseum.

Bol Bol is not nearly as tough as Chet.

    And Chet's IQ also better.

Sengun is going to get WAY stronger than he already is, and I really do believe he will play elite, cagey defense. A sort of Chuck Hayes/Vlade Divac combination of annoyance on the block. You got Chet on the weakside, that's a recipe for elite defense. I think Jabari can fit this recipe too, and I'd like to see If Jabari can play some 3, while we scour for a Sochan-ish dude. (Maybe Garuba is that man...)

I like Duren more than Chet. Chet is more like KP, Duren is more like Howard with a soft touch

    DEFENSE MATTERS

    Especially in the postseason.

Elite rim protection is a game changer.

Duren is not as good rim protector as Chet.

Duren is also low IQ and really not elite in any area.

Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

I agree, watched his highlight reel and it didn't impress me.

Chet can do everything Wood can do on offense.

    With fewer turnovers.

    And MUCH MUCH better defense.

If Wood can average 20/10, so can Chet.

Chet is better on offense than Wood, with absolutely no comparison on defense like you and many others have pointed out. Chet is a very good passer too. He is fluid and tough, but he slows down quite a lot on offense when he comes up against physically big defenders.

If he can gain more weight and muscle, and play against some contact while maintaining fluidity, he will become the consensus number 1 pick.

The hard work that prospects put in between the end of the season and draft day to overcome their shortcomings as best as possible determines future NBA success in my opinion.

Sounded like Chet played 4 seasons in the NBA like Wood has.

There's a reason why Chet is advanced and is being considered with the number 1 pick despite being 19 years old.

Wood is lazy, he could be a much better player with consistent hard work, despite his slight frame.
