And who knows, maybe Lars picks are goofy to begin with.

No conflict here, Brooklyn being successful is of no concern anymore therefore would love to see them advance. Would love it if Sixers don't **** the bed and end up in the ECF and Nets make it as well.

I'm no expert on euro-ball but from my understanding what Sengun did was a good bit more impressive. He was the MVP on a (relatively) good team in a better league, Jovic is just a solid player on a (relatively) bad team in a worse league.

Not saying Jovic does or doesn't have talent, just pointing out what Sengun did was a bit more special, his success in our league probably isn't a great expectation for others who haven't had similar accomplishments.

Right? No one would have thought that Jokic would have become the league MVP ever in their right mind. He was considered too slow and a terrible defender....but just such an incredibly hard worker and extremely coachable, with a great shot.

Just a lesson that - those are the guys you want to draft.

Jokic is the only player in (post-merger) history to win an MVP and not be a top 15 pick. His becoming was/is definitely a shocker relative to what he had shown at the time of being drafted.

Just saying that I am not sure that for big men - crazy athleticism is the number one trait to be successful. I think basketball IQ, shot making ability, and other attributes may be undervalued.

What if we traded him for Hartenstein?

Not much at that 16 / 17 slot as far as guys that will move the needle -
EJ Liddell perhaps reminds me a little of old school Kenny Thomas

You could run JC and Ochai together off the bench, that combo could lock down guys on the perimeter

Yeah Jovic doesn't move the needle for me either. Maybe he proves me wrong.

I'd really prefer starters with our 2 FRP if at all possible.

Personally I would either look at C (Williams, Kessler) or PG (TyTy or Chandler) or someone like Dieng. And there are always some players dropping that might be valuable here!

That is incredible but isn't a multiple MVP caliber player supposed to be in the Top 3 every year.... he is phenomenal but I do not see him dragging the franchise to a championship soon even with healthy Murray, the league is just too good and he is still slow.....

I also do not think he is leagues ahead of Giannis and Embiid either.

It's a toss up, Joker has some advantage in advanced metrics.

I like the fact that dudes can overcome a major shortcoming, athleticism now.

And that foreign players are dominating the domestic league now.

Agreed. I’m biased because I’ve been watching Agbaji improve year and year as a Jayhawk fan. It’s clear he would be good value at 16 or 17, but I completely understand if the team factors in need at that pick considering Green has the 2 locked down.

This is a real question because I don't have the time to do the research.

How many (percentage?) mid-FRPs ended up being a regular starter in the league?

It's not where they end up that concerns me it's the mentality of drafting back ups.

Rockets FO needs to believe they are drafting starters.

MVP used to be about wins, not selective advanced stats.

And this is coming form a proponent of advanced stats.
