Duren. Gotta go big! Plus he reminds me of a bigger, stronger, Bo Outlaw. He might not be a shooter, but he will rebound, defend, and block shots. He's got the toughness this team desperately needs inside. And he's only 19.

I'm wondering, if something happens and last minute someone with a top 4 pick takes someone that is not one of the consensus top 4 like Toronto did last year in taking Scottie Barnes, is it automatic that the rockets would take the player who "fell"? Are we sure that Rockets value each of ivey, smith, chet, and Banchero over everyone else in the draft and would automatically pick one of them if that player fell to 5? I think probably the answer is yes but I don't know.

Knowing very little about these guys, I'll go with Murray. Mainly because the Rockets have a Legacy of Murrays.

It happens all the time. Like you said, I don’t remember a single board with Barnes in the top 4. I could see someone like Murray or Sharpe jumping into the top 4. If I had to guess, Ivey would probably have the best odds of falling given the makeup of the bottom teams.

Well, at least there isn’t a risk of losing the pick all together. Last year was stressful to watch since, if the pick would have been out of the top 4, the pick would have diverted to Oklahoma.

Most were just happy to be keeping the pick.

And with the team the Rockets have, even though the top pick would be ideal, there is a lot of talent already on the roster that just needs seasoning.

A top 5 pick should at least yield a long term starting rotation player, who’d be a core guy.

But I’m hoping for a top 2 pick!

Every time I play on tankathon I end up getting the # 5 pick way too many times ugh.

My vote is for Sharpe since we need the highest upside.

Depends on which Top 4 pick they're trading up for, but I do think consensus says there's a pretty significant drop off from the 4th pick to the 5th pick and below in this draft. Unfortunately, I also think that's why there would be very little likelihood for this scenario to play out. I just don't see any team in the Top 4 walking away from one of those available players.

It's Sharpe and it isn't even close. He was supposed to be the #1 guy in next year's draft. Guys like Griffin, Murray ect could all end up being All-Stars, but Sharpe has the potential to be a MVP candidate. I actually like him more than I like Chet.

It was supposed to scare teams off.

    Still didn't work.

Barnes was 5 on some people's board like KOC from the Ringer. Some scouts thought he would be the best player in the draft if had a more reliable jump shot.

I really think we would trade up to at least 3 to get one of Chet, Paolo, Smith. We have more than enough assets to do it.

Is he anything more than a potential elite scorer? I want to know about his defense, passing and rebounding. If he's really 6'6" with a long wingspan, it would be very intriguing. We need a really good SF on both ends of the floor.

Sorry, I meant in the top 4 (i.e. over Suggs).
