The lack of urgency is a problem. I see some Philly fans saying they should have waited on the trade to the off season. I'm like anything can happen in the off season or next year. They not winning **** with out the trade imo They were second round fodder at best. If you cab go all our now...you do that shut Rocket River
Morey‘s whole career was about urgency but the devil in the details got him (patience and treating people with more respect)
Quin Snyder Mentioned As Possible Candidate For Lakers, Spurs Quin Snyder has been discussed within league circles as a potential target for both the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers. Snyder has ties to both franchises in the past. Snyder remains under contract with the Utah Jazz next season, but the franchise is in a period of flux and could make major changes if they have a disappointing playoffs. Snyder has been head coach of the Jazz since the 14-15 season.
I believe that father time has finally caught up to LeBron. It's affecting his individual and team defense more than his offense.
Rivers is the Adam Gase of the NBA, he's spent nearly 15 years coasting on one year where elite talent brute forced its way to a title under his watch.
D’Antoni, Stotts Among Kings’ Coaching Targets? There appears to be a growing expectation that the Kings won’t name Alvin Gentry as their full-time head coach, according to Marc Stein of Substack. Gentry was named interim head coach when the franchise fired Luke Walton in November. Sacramento could be interested in veteran coaches for the role, with Terry Stotts, Mike D’Antoni, Mike Brown and Steve Clifford being mentioned as likely candidates, according to Stein. Stotts and D’Antoni are coaching free agents, while Brown (Warriors assistant) and Clifford (Nets coaching consultant) work for teams.
Snyder was shooting down the Spurs rumor, while possible, is a slight stretch. It means Snyder is leaving a playoff team (Jazz) to a rebuild one (Spurs). The Doc to Lakers is kind of poor speculation. Doc is getting ready for playoffs with Philly, he watches TV too, he knows the state of the Lakers. The Kings one, it's been known, Alvin won't get extended. I don't think MDA is a lock. MDA and Alvin are tight, MDA taking his long term friend's job, just isn't a good look. Rockets should try to lock Kenny Atkinson, even if an assistant, like Lakers to JKidd, with a promise of promotion. Chances of this is low, still. I can see Kenny getting a coaching gig from some NBA team next year.
Vogel is gone, but even the Lakers front office know in hindsight he was screwed because of Westbrook. Rivers would like to be closer to LA or Florida where he owns homes. The Sixers apparently aren’t THAT happy with him either. He could end up in LA where LeBron would be essentially the head coach because Rivers will defer. The Knicks keep saying they are keeping Thibs, I think they keep him unless they can get as big name interested like Snyder. Thibs also has gotten along better with Leon Rose than prior stops. Snyder has rejected extensions and isn’t a huge fan of the front office. I think he is gone, likely to the Lakers or possibly the Sixers. MDA would be my guess for the Sixers job unless Snyder wants it. MDA and Harden remain very tight. I think the Rockets keep Silas. Stone doesn’t want a big name coach taking clout away from him and there is no great assistant out there. The Spurs and Popovich are interesting. I would love to see Pop leave the Spurs for the Sixers or Lakers but I don’t think it happens. Most interesting rumor I have heard is James Borego possibly not being back with it being a mutual decision.
Overrated coach to an overrated team; Doc and the Lakers are a perfect match. Though I don't know if the Sixers pull the plug after two seasons even though the fanbase will definitely demand his head when he chokes again.
