This is actually the guy that I like the most for UH. He is an elite shot blocker, averaging 4 a game..... he can rebound as well and score. I know it wasn't against the absolute best teams, but he really stands out when you watch him.
Welp, you must realize if Kansas, Kentucky, or UCLA get #1, we are going to be the road team at their venue. You play for #1. But not only to just get the easiest schedule and play in your region, but it gives you national exposure, more fans come out, improves recruiting, and generates revenue streams. It's HUGE. And we want it. Superhighway to Houston.
Manny Bates is arguably going to be better than Emoni Bates next season.... I will be curious to see what happens to Emoni.... will they try and feature him next year? Is he staying at Memphis? I know that Memphis is looking into the transfer portal this year for more veteran leadership and help.
just wanted to point out these two are not brothers cause it may come off that way haha. And 2 completely different players
Yeah... zero relation at all and very different players. Manny is the far better fit for UH if his shoulder is good.
Coming off the injury, Sasser's stock is very low right now. He should come back, and if he continues to play well, he has a chance to go in the first round next year. If he comes out this year, he won't get drafted and may play overseas.
Unless sasser gets blown away by feedback that are basically guarantees in the off-season, he intends on returning. Fwiw Sampson expects him to be back
Fingers crossed, but everyone that they really want back should be back and they opened up a scholarship getting the guy they wanted to leave, to leave.
Borderline end of the 2nd round. His future is likely no different than every Cougar who came before him. He's probably going to get a few years in the league on pedigree alone, but he's so undersized in height and inconsistent with the shot it's going to limit his potential and longevity. Still, there is some money out there for him. And he's got a whiff of the money now which is hard to let go. One more year won't change his stock much given he's so undersized and inconsistent for what he does. Hope that sinks in because don't see him going where he wants to be this year or next. A championship run will give him a slight uptick though. But not enough to really move up the ladder. Think he would regret not staying one more year because he probably won't exceed his expectations for the nba, but one championship year at Houston could be a memory for life. But J Walk, now he could go top 10-15. He is going be one our highest drafted players in a long long time.
Yup. The same folks talking down sasser were the ones who didn’t even think he had a chance first round. So don’t take certain takes seriously. Sasser has the potential to be a first rounder no doubt. The modern era caters to guards like him
Don't know much about him but LOVED the highlights! Rebounds, plays defense, block shots AND hit the 3! Damn
Just further confirmation his dart throw was never in the realm of being accurate. He took a complete guess without even diving into the actual situation
