Seriously. What kind of person thinks, “I don’t think Green will develop Kobe’s all-around game, so he’ll probably end up the next Lou Williams.”
Per 36 Lamelo Ball at 19: 19.7 points 50.4 efg% 7.7 assists 7.4 rebounds 2.0 steals Jalen Green at 19: 19.3 point 50.7% efg 3.0 assists 3.8 rebounds 0.8 steals That was last year.. let's not pretend 50% efg from a 19 year old comes along once a decade or is historic... It's promising but he has more work to do...
What kind of person makes things up to attack people? When someone says right now he's closer it means he hasn't done it yet. Stop being a homer, it's making you not understand the english language..
First, Gerald Green, then Corey Brewer, then Darko Milicic, now Lou Williams? Man, you chose a bad time to make these comps. You don't even have to stay that he'll become the Rockets GOAT, personally I find it unlikely he ever surpasses Harden's peak years (34-8-6 on 62% TS, holy ****), but Lou Will? Come on dawg.
Starters: KPJ, Green, Brandon Ingram, Jabari, Wood Bench: Nets pick at PG, JC, Matthews, KMJ, Sengun Depth: Nix, Garuba Traded: Wall, EG, Tate
LaMelo Ball won rookie of the year and definitely has the potential to be a perineal top five player in the league. Like ya, rookies at 19 that perform at or better than Jalen mostly end up at the very least multiple time all-star players. For every Tyreke Evans I'll find you 3 Balls or Lukas.
49.8 - 45.6 = 4.2%... I'll take more rebounds, assists, and defense.... If you're so offended go claim lamelo is going to be better than kobe because he was better at 19 across the board... Defending one dimensional basketball is boring....
İMO front Office won't trade wood. Cuz your lineup so wrong. İ think if we will choose chet and Şengün-chet will play at center. PG KPJ SG Jalen SF Tate PF Wood C Şengün-Chet My wish PG Schröder SG Jalen SF Tate PF Jabari S. Jr C Şengün Sixth Man KPJ
“Here, let me compare Green to a budding star and former ROY to show why Green will be the next Lou Williams.”
He's a rookie dude. Be excited that we have the most electrifying rookie in this year's class and the one people enjoy watching the most. Jalen Green is definitely the opposite of boring dude. Scoring is fun. It's okay if a 20 year old rookie is only great at scoring now. It's okay. I don't know why you have to drag Green like that now? Lou ficking Williams lol
People need to realize we're seeing Green's floor...right now, barring injuries of course...but what he's doing right now is probably the worst he's going to be. If he never gets better he's still an efficient 20ppg player. If he does get better...well...who knows. But I could see scoring titles in his future and if he just becomes an average defender then we're talking about a special player.
I didn't mention Gerald, Darko, or Brewer... Roy Tyreke Evans, Kobe, Lou, lamelo.... not a bad list... I saw his comment about Brewer... maybe frame wise... brewer was an awful shooter and was a transition player... not sure comp makes sense other than body type...
AG - Porter Jr AG - Green SF - KMJ PF - Sengun C - Holmgren AG = Attacking guard..... And if Sengun can't hit a 3, trade him to a team that wants a post player....for a big that can hit the 3 ball. DD
Electrifying is subjective... i would rank him probably third in roy voting... So lou williams, an elite scorer off the bench who plays little defense, rebounds little, and doesn't pass a ton is an insult to compare our elite scoring rookie who doesn't play defense, rebound much, or pass a ton... Btw, at no point i said he was lou williams. I said he was better than lou but closer to lou than Kobe... Defense is half the game and the biggest reason our team is terrible... Just because a player should improve doesn't mean he will... i hope he does. Right now to call him kobe is just dumb and unfair to him... I didn't realize this board was reserved for homers....
