Is KPJ consciously envious of Green's 30-point streak?

I'd like to hear from those who actually watched the game, there was no intent to pass in this one. KPJ had 12, 11 assists in the previous games, the intent and ability is there when he wants it. I have no doubt he and Green are very close. But hey, even a twin gets envious if one is getting a bit too much attention, and that's just immaturity. However, it gets worse if it doesn't get called out, that's all. Be happy that your brother is getting the accolades, let him shine when he's shining bright, it's good for him, it's good for the team, and Green does not have an Icarus complex to worry about.

Who knows? How can you prove it? What we do know is the guy is reckless, hyper sensitive, and makes bad decisions off the court. This reflects on the court with poor decision making. What I did see tonight was him being selfish one time when he personally wanted to take Durant one on one and waived off a Sengun screen. He dribbled pull up for a 3 and clanked it. Really stupid and selfish. Loser mentality.

Too bad he always comes up empty. Like i said he can put up a 30 piece but what does that equate to? What did he exactly do in those 30 plus minutes he played? Little things add up and difference between winning and losing in this league. Every Decision is critical to winning. One example is him holding the damn ball instead of moving it or decisively drive to find the open man.

only thing i can think of is giving them “sets and reps” to learn each other and speed up the growth process together.

one move i never get is why matthews still
Plays when he sucks. Nights like tonight he is obviously off and his defense is consistently atrocious. Why not put Nwaba in for energy and defense against Kyrie or KD? Also why doesn’t Bruno get more opportunities?

Pretty sure he falls into the ex-con category.

What a concept, coaching. Structure to grow from and a base to fall back on.

Yes, he is. Well, the word envious may not be 100% accurate, but he definitely feels threatened by JG. Which is natural. For everyone, let alone a 20 year old super competitive pro athlete looking for glory, money, redemption.

KPJ has publicly spoken in the past about how he sees himself as a franchise player, how he is going to lead the Rockets to success etc. JG as a 2nd pick is a threat to that vision. It is evident not just on the floor, but also off it. KPJ referring to JG as his baby brother, young etc. It’s as if he is trying to exert some sort of dominance over JG.

it’s up to the coaches and support staff to manage these natural feelings, and channel them into extra motivation, productive competitive spirit. And of course, up to KPJ to see the reality of the situation (JG as our future superstar) and adapt to that reality.

Guys, it’s not a bad thing that we have two guards who can consistently put up 30+ a night.

The team is trying to tank, give it a rest.

If you want drama, wait till next season.

It is too late for that.

I agree that he is somewhat envious due to not passing the ball at the end of the game but it's obvious that he is not a point guard. He's playing like a shooting guard stating that he's a point guard. In addition, this falls more on poor coaching and lack of leadership. Popovich would have corrected this a long time ago. Green would probably get the ball more if he cleaned up his handles. Porter, in my opinion, has better handles at this point.

    ENOUGH! Stop.

You and your ilk are becoming the problem. If I didn't see the join date, I might assume you were just getting that Learner's Permit.
Seriously the writing's better than a 15-16 year old's, but the content is clearly reminiscent of ......LOF. Good Lawd!

JGOF - It's a thing. Sure he's got major game, but there's clearly a group here who have lost all sense of perspective, and care for nothing else.
Y'all are actually worse, as you should know better.

Both Scooter and Jalen have been on numerous interviews and have quotes where they are genuinely happy for one another. Kevin went on Jalens Insta Live LAST YEAR talking about how good they could be and has gone so far as to call Jalen his "little brother". They seem to be boys and its cool to watch them both grow as men and professionally - Rockets fans reap the benefits of a symbiotic relationship with them. I have never seen or felt anything shady between them. Not unlike Chris Wood where it seems the whole team hates his guts. I dont doubt the curiosity on part of OP, but I can also see how this could be viewed as low quality sht posting considering how divided this fanbase has been.

When the Rockets are done tanking, they will start making roster decisions for the best of the team. You don’t think the Rockets know that Porter is a bad fit as a pg? They know. They are going to let two things happen.

Use Porters play as a conduit to tank and trade him for value or use it to give him time to form in to that player.

Dude wtf is he suppose to do when Tate, Mathews, and Christopher are a combined 5-28? I’d stop passing the rock too and try to get my team back in the game myself. Which he did

I don’t see how you can look at KPJ & Greens games basically since the all star break, especially the last 5, and complain. You could have a Curry/Klay type lethal backcourt but you cry because Jalen doesn’t get 95% of the touches

Just get KPJ/Green a real front court, unlike Tate at PF, and who can set screens and let them keep building together

KPJ had a good scoring game tonight, but watching in person I was definitely frustrated with his play and decision making at times.

Actually, i like it better when KPJ is just focused on ISO scoring because he is not a very good facilitator.

He has the potential to be a poormans harden and an unbelievable 6th man (if he could stomach it ego wise). Which is kinda ironic given that Harden was originally a 6th man early into his career.

However, the fit with green both at the SG is questionable. You could slide KPJ to the 3 spot and have a true pass first PG but the problem is defense would be horrific as KPJ has been largely a turnstile guarding every position this year.
