Rockets went straight from contending to tanking - credit tilman for that. Le$ never would’ve allowed us to speed run the foundation of a rebuild.

Spurs haven’t done anything since they stopped contending. They have no young studs (Murray sucks) and they have little chance to make it out of the play in or get a high lottery pick.

Will the Spurs tank when Pop retires? Their post Duncan era looks bad! No free agent ever gonna wanna live there.

Murray is actually pretty good but he's not leading them into contention alone. They're a small market team that's too proud to tank. Maybe it's just while Pop is there but if they stay this way they're gonna be mediocre for a very long time. Only hope would be for like a Giannis or Jokic type prospect to fall in their laps. Otherwise they'll look like the post-Reggie to present day Pacers.

He cant shoot worth a lick. Hes never going to be efficient

Jalen green already has a higher ts% than Murray has ever had in his whole career... Despite greens horrid start to the season.

Im completely serious. Getting a few assists and rebounds with high usage doesn't make being an inefficient player valuable.

Hes like a westbrook. Im going to link his bball reference here. Scroll down to advanced for true shooting

na, they screwed themselves. Instead of taking a real package from the lakers or someone else, they took trash (IMO, at the time derozen with his contract was probably worth -2 1st rounders, so they basically got negative value for kawhi) all because they wanted to spite him.

You're right though, they did have the most successful tank job of all time. Kinda does feel like they're just doing it for Pop right now. They might just go back to tanking as early as next season lol

He faked an injury then demanded a trade.

Faking severity at most. He played only 60 games in toronto and the spurs wanted to rush him back the year prior

He made a business decision to prioritize his own health going into free agency. The spurs clearly werent taking it seriously and that ruined their relationship

I honestly believe thats not the full story. Kawhi was making a business decision to make it to the west coast too.

No matter how nice or patient the spurs were, Kawhi just wanted to find a way to leave for the west coast.

He left a Raptors team that gave him everything he asked for so he could live in so Cal

Murray is a plus on every stat except shooting. I would love to have him next to Jalen as an unselfish PG - especially if he improves his shot over the years.

he ain’t trash like y’all make him out to be. He’s way better than KPJ. Cmon y’all can’t be serious
