the rockets are loaded with young talent. it's going to be an interesting next 2 years to see how it all comes together.
Stone proving all the haters wrong. All the posters who called the FOs names for "passing on Tim Duncan mixed with KD" need to eat some humble pie right about now.
Will be fascinating what Jaygup’s role will be going forward and the decision on KPJ. Like to see him as our 6th man Gordon replacement. If he continues to ball out he could be packaged up with Wood for a disgruntled star.
hope they start the three of them together next year, Josh is for sure a starter in this league. Does so many things well besides scoring like playmaking, defense, hustle I want him on the floor at least 30 min a night next year
As I said before there really is a good starter potential within JC. I like his fluidity, his off the ball movement, his mid-range game, his physicality driving to the basket. He seems to care on defence. However, I am unsure whether the Rockets are the team where he will be able to explore and showcase his talent. Green of course is our long-term shooting guard. JC deserves a shot at more minutes. He may have been better off being picked up by a team that didn’t have a potential star at the 2. Can JC and Green co-exist? Can one of them become a primary ball-handler in the next 2-3 years? Can we win with a 3-man backcourt (JC, JG + a playmaking PG)? Should we be looking for a playmaking SF instead to accommodate a JG/JC backcourt? I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer is that JC ends up being an asset we develop and trade in a larger package for a star before his rookie contract expires. Either way we should be giving him more minutes next year especially in JG lineups.
You could easily develop Jaygup to be a 6-7 apg kind of guy if needed. I think the team should look at KPJ and I know he is hard to trade because only the Rox believed in him.
No, no, no... Look at the growth in KPjr, Jalen, and Josh. Also, take in the small sample size when they're on the court together. You have playmaking out of Alperen along with interchangeable playmaking pieces. We definitely need long, athletic forwards... You move Wall's expiring contract and picks at the deadline for a young star. Wood has needed to be moved... EG should have been, but is a great veteran influence in the meantime.
