I am praying for a bad GM offering a contract. Just like in any profession, there are bad GM's.

Are you a rockets fan or a player fan?
You should want the rockets to keep Sengun, he’s a valuable foundation piece

Because Sengun is slow and not very tall, he really needs to get a good 3pt shot......that will loosen up so much of the NBA game if he can shoot greater than 40% from 3.

Sengun will be hitting 40% on behind the back 3 pointers next year.

Same can be said about Paolo.

Sengun is the exact same size and length. With not much difference athletically

Greater than 40% from 3s would make him one of the best shooters of all time.
The Grizzlies have Aquaman who doesn't shoot threes and a PF who shoots them but doesn't make them consistently. On defense you would definitely need length and rim protection next to him but his hustle defense is underappreciated. Sengun's post up defense? he is a 19 yr old rook. You learn by the pounding you take. (insert funny Dwight Howard/Bill Worrell interview)
32-35% is very doable for next season from threes every now and then.

Sure increasing his 3pt % will help him a lot, to get more points and to provide spacing for the team. But the main disadvantage of his slowness comes when he is driving to the basket. He relies on his craftiness to pass his man, which is already good, but his control diminishes with change of directions or with increased dribbling, which can result in turnovers or he is forced to stop dribbling. So the remedy is, I believe,

    1) improved ball handling
    2) add new ways to score from 1-4 ft. Right now he always finishes at the rim with fakes and dunks.

Just need to wait for him to have his moment were everything just really starts clicking for him like it has with JG

Once that happens he might just make us wonder which of our two best rookies are actually better

AL-P really needs to trim down his BF% to sub-10%. Man needs every step he can get on defense and to get his stanima up.

It might reduce his post-up ability in the short term, but if he can replace that fat with muscle he should be fine.

He isn't too slow, the others are too fast.

His body has transformed a lot past two years, so there is reason to be optimistic about this.

I hate to say it but @DaDakota is right. You need Sengun to be able to be outside to create spacing because he's not good at defense and rebounding due to size, which means you probably have to pair him with a Rim protecting big man - who probably won't be able to shoot, and who will f up your spacing

You can get by with 1 non shooter but not 2.

He has good positioning and great iq/ eye but I completely agree, the man needs to be a great shooter to survive this league. For a guy who can easily spin past defenders on the offensive end, he has Rocks/bricks in his shoes on the defensive end. I think they will work on all of this during the offseason.

He had 10 rebounds at halftime today, while being matched up with KAT.
