In most sports, I cannot put my finger on it, power players can have bigger effect on a game than someone who is more skilled. Power running back vs. versatile scat back. 250-275 pound back is just so hard for defense to deal with it, because if you don't have the personnel or can win at the line of scrimmage, it's going to be long afternoon.

Take Wilt or Shaq versus other all-time great centers (more skilled). Both of them are so strong and powerful, you can't expect one player to guard them the whole game on most nights. You probably need to switch and zone.

Pretty much any slugger who is mostly power with a low batting average...1B/DH compare them to players, like Ichiro, Pete Rose, Rickey Henderson, or Ty Cobb. There are going to be quite few teams who choose the power hitter.

I feel like a team with alot of shooters, and possibly other playmakers would benefit more with Giannis. Though, a team that lacked shooters (defenders) and also playmakers you would be hard press not to pick KG.

Alot of people have disagreed with me, but I think KG is much higher amongst the greats than people give him credit for.

He's all around, arguably the best and most valuable defensive players in history/ Alot of people say it's Rodman, Pippen, Russell, Moncrief, or Draymond. The most underrated guy, outside of Bobby Jones (who I've seen below the likes Oakley, Davis Brothers, and few others) is KG.

KG could shut wing players, down as much as he could post players.

The BIG, powerful players dominate the middle on offense and defense. Take Garnett vs Duncan. Garnett was easily more skilled than Duncan, but Duncan's basic offense drew more fouls and his dominant interior defense shut down more teams. Garnett had more moves but got to the line less; Garnett could defend more positions, but he couldn't dominate the middle. Teams having to double team Duncan down low created more space for his teammates than Garnett drawing some defensive attention in the perimeter or even making the pass to an open teammate.

I would take Giannis in any situation and just be patient with the team building.
