Next season it would be nice for Jalen to touch the ball more. We can still have someone that sets the table as PG, but more action can be run through JG. I honestly worry less about JG's individual growth because looks like it's getting there. I worry more about team's overall growth. Stone/Silas have to start looking and doing better with FIT. And can the team get their defense to some around the middle of the pack at least. We don't want JG to be a good player on a bad team with the likes of early years Booker or KAT. Hope is more of a Ja trajectory where he's improving but so is the rest of the team. And do that in the next 2-3 years. As far his draft class, I suppose players will forever be compared to them. In the end, Cavs, Raptors, Pistons, Magic aren't even in our conference. But if we were to reflect on the East this year vs last. Pistons and Magic stayed where they are. Whereas Bulls and Cavs made enough moves to basically take Hawks/Knick's spot. Rockets has to have their mentality where next couple years in the WEST, we should be looking to move UP. Lakers/Blazers looking grim. If Kings/Spurs/Thunder remain bad, maybe Rockets can leap frog. Stone has to decide who some of the young guys to keep, because upgrade is needed. Be it organic or via trades.
Jalen will lead the league in scoring for several seasons and earn a bunch of individual accomplishments. Winning involves so much in a team dynamic. If Stone nails the next 2 drafts I could see this team run off a dynasty with Jalen the driving force.
Fortunately for Jalen, KPJ already has the “sure, his stats are really good but he’s a loser” crowd on lock down. He and Silas will continue to get the blame. Perhaps one day we will find a big man who can play anything resembling defense so we can stop focusing on finding magic “pure PG” or “real system” who will fix all our problems while the opposing C and PF go off for career highs every night.
The 2021 class is full of studs, I dont really care where Jalen ranks among them as long as he turns into a superstar.
Yup. Frankly, I couldn't exaggerate Chapter 3. We're going into the lab. It's training and summer league and all that, the haters are going to have a field day and I know the only straw they will be clutching is "if he's so good, how come his record is so bad?" Preparing the troops for that.
Jalen Green is on the way to become an exciting and successful Houston Rocket for a long time to come, if he continues to work hard every day. I think he will continue to do that. He has tasted a bit of success and he's hungry. I hope he will continue to remain humble like Hakeem.
Lmao is that what we are going with now, Moses? Are you the one leading the Rockets to Canaan, the Promised Land.......with another one of your cheap sequels.... chapters. When you're at the height of your posting career, watch out, the Devil will Come for you, boy! He will come for you! No need for a field day, having a laugh at your expense every other chapter.
Get both KPJ & Green a PF like jabari who can set real screens and see what happens over the next couple seasons
This should be chapter 6 or 7. He hasn't even emerged as the best player or leader of the Rockets yet; that comes before the "loser" label.
