great game! He was starting to attract so much attention from the Mavs defense. I hope one of the coaches will be in his ear to tell him he needs to keep that kind of consistent effort to stay in the league. One of the few bright spots in tonights game.
https://www.nbadraft.net/players/bruno-fernando/ HE’S BEEN COMPARED TO HAKEEM! Outlook: Has a very bright future with the amount of improvement he’s shown over his two years at Maryland … At times his play evokes memories of Hakeem Olajuwon with his spin moves and baby hooks. He’s still got a long ways to go in terms of offensive polish, and doesn’t have nearly the same dynamic explosiveness and athleticism … But his patience and clever ability to create baskets give his game shades of Hakeem … If he can continue to expand his offensive game and extend his range and shot blocking ability, he can develop into one of the top centers of his generation at the next level … he figures to be the top center available in this year’s draft …
Couldn’t defend perimeter or pick and roll properly. Played mostly zone up D against pick and roll. But has good energy and can be a presence in the paint blocking a couple shots and guarding the post. Not much offensively besides dunks but not enough info to assess. Poor ball handler.
I can't get over the similarity between Rob Williams and Bruno Fernando Rob is 24, Bruno is 23 They are both listed at 2.06 meters Both are at 109 kg Rob was a late first-round pick in 2018, Bruno was a late second-round pick in 2019 I feel like Bruno can be a very solid second-unit center for us. He's a keeper.
Don’t disagree at all, but he’s the toughest strongest we have at this time and naturally our absolute joke of a coach ain’t playing him.
You signed Theis to that ****in deal, you better give this guy something. He's Garuba + weight room experience but no 3. Perfect backup 5 to Sengun next year. Garuba can play backup 4 hopefully, maybe 3rd center if he doesn't improve over the offseason.
