    Whatever .

we tanked for 90 % of the season already .

I don’t think that we have always been “trying to win”

our priorities have been development and prescribed minutes for certain guys . Green with 30 , KPJ at point , wood as your big . We traded theis , sat wall , and haven’t been playing optimal lineups (think about how little Sengun and green and Tate we’ve seen together )

the whole year has been a masterclass in stealth tanking . Sure , we also just weren’t very good ... also by design .

now , to me ... these wins vs tanking teams mean nothing . Neither of those Portland wins are gonna help guys build confidence or yield film they can learn from .. never , outside of playing tanking teams , are we gonna face scrubs like that .

spurs are still playing to win . If we beat them ... then I’ll take that as a good win .

you CAN find guys outside the top 4 picks . We still could get a top 4 pick without having the best odds .

the “peace of mind” we get by having the worst record isn’t even that good . At this point losing a few more is painless.

I’m ambivalent. I don’t care . I didn’t watch either of the last 2 games . I don’t care what the rockets do . We ARE tanking . Most fans have cared more about our pick than the actual games this year . I won’t blame the fans ... we suck .

Being a bad team sucks ... and the if we are a bottom team next year I suspect more of us will peace out early .

Front office has a lot of work to do . Next year we need to be in the position that SA is in ... challenging for the play -in .

This season is already dead . I don’t care if we put a bunch of 10-day guys out there or run back the same starters ... if we don’t improve next year it’s not because we didn’t lose enough this one . It will be because our 4 1sts didn’t get better , our 2 1sts this year don’t produce , Tate , wood , and KPJ didn’t get better or we didn’t get **** for them . It won’t be because we pick 6 instead of 3 .

Even if we just play our rookies, the wins may still keep coming because teams we're playing against are playing scrubs. Things always change towards the end of the season and suddenly our guys look great - that's partly due to them gaining experience and partly the level of competition they face now.

Should've tried to win with all the first rounders and potential rotation pieces (not including wood,eg) from the start of the season. But that's just me, win-win situation

If we win because Jalen Green or Sengun take 20 plus shots and drop a 30 or 40 piece, I'm okay with that because at least we are winning as a result of our core future putting in work. There is absolutely.no point in winning games when Christian Wood or Tate or EG are taking up the bulk of the minutes and possessions.

We would have beaten the Blazers even if you trotted the Vipers on the court

I don't know if they were really trying to win or Portland just out tanked them ..... Portland started a G league team.

I believe in trying to win every game, but for the future sake of the Rockets you have to tank it for the best odds. Heck, Pick up a Rockets fan and let him play the whole game til the end of season. We need Chet. We need Paolo, We need Smith.... heck We even need Ivy....

Why is losing with "vets" not an option?

Tbh the Rockets should sign me on a 10 day contract. I can set them on the right path.

It is an option but it's an option that has no purpose besides upping trade value.

This is pretty much how I see it as well.

    1. Green and Sengun playing great and winning games is not a bad thing. (Wood, Gordon, Schroder playing great to win games, on the other hand...)

    2. This draft isn't as clear as the last one. All the top prospects have concerns. That makes picking a bust at the top more likely than last year. But picking high still has better chances of getting a great player than picking lower.

I agree that we shouldn’t be still playing vets, but we would have won against Portland regardless. That is how decimates that team is currently.

That Stone Silas meeting must’ve hit different today. Like Will Smith hit different.
