Sit Wood for sure but I couldn't care less about his injuries. Dude is getting paid real soon. A problem.
Sengun has the rare traits of vision, creativity, and intelligence. His shooting and footwork are also notable -- especially for a big man. Other Euro big men comparisons who had vision/creativity/intelligence would include Vlade Divac, Arvydas Sabonis, and of course Nicola Jokic. Hard to believe Sengun is still a teenager.
no mention of the handles? i am dissapoint also the flopping and the head snapping why selling the fouls is hardenesque
KPJ could never pull such a move because Alpi is a natural and that the move flows and comes from who he is as player...it arises natural from him just being outthere on the court... while KPJ eg JUST LEARNED SOME FANCY DRIBBLES BY HEART AND CAN RARELY APPLY IT IN THE REAL GAME SITUATION TO MAKE SOME USE OF IT... its attached to him like a dead limb attached to a live body, it has no use for it...its just a harm... its like an artificial flower, its not alive and has no purpose save making him more expensive than hes worth... ITS TIMESTAMPED https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxpDNo1zR_jcbEd8lDW8Sml2n21l8oe_Wu

More Green and Gun. This is a really good full highlights edit. Cycles through each highlight at a good pace.
I loved that video. Love those guys. Management and coach should 100 % emphasize the development of this duo above all else (plus whoever our top pick will be next year). We need a clear pecking order. Part of why we are so bad is simply because everyone is still trying to get his (Wood, KPJ, and to a lesser extent Tate). Sengun and Green are our no. 1 and no. 2 options (in no particular order, they play great off of each other). Everyone else needs to be told what their role is and needs to fall in place. There might be a role for KPJ if he accepts a 6th man role and never pouts again. He needs to understand that that will be the best place for him. Houston has shown a lot of patience. But if he thinks he needs to be "the man", he needs to go asap. With Wood, he will want to get paid. That should happen elsewhere. If he stays here, on a reasonable contract, he needs to be told he must be a good team player and who the no. 1 and no. 2 options are (Green and Sengun). If he fits in, plays team ball, stops dribbling the ball up court like a moron, stops stealing rebounds from his teammates, then his skills could be useful. If he doesn't - bye. Gordon - great guy, has probably been a good teammate and mentor for Sengun and others. I hope he gets a chance at a ring somewhere. If he stays, he already knows what to do, I think. Give Christopher, Garuba, Nix more minutes. We must not pay Schroeder big dollars. Fine if he stays at reasonable terms, if we move KPJ. Just don't pay him big money. And again, he must know that he facilitates for Green and Sengun.
We talk about what Jalen can be after his eventual body transformation, but we rarely consider that Sengun still has some untapped athleticism in his body due to the fact that he can reach another level in his strength and conditioning. He still looks like his body fat is higher than it should be for him to reach his peak physical performance. Maybe he sheds a little fat and adds a little more muscle and this really unlocks what he can do. I hope he’s willing to put the work in to do that. Sengun a little stronger and a little quicker and faster is something to be excited about for sure. He doesn’t even turn 20 until July. He’s a baby by NBA standards.
Totally agree. His creativity and obvious love for the game is off the charts. His body isn't even fully developed yet. It's not like he is unathletic. He loves to dunk, can do a reverse dunk in-game, gets up to block a lot of shots...he really is my favourite player, but the way Green has been developing, I am really excited about the Rockets going forward. It seems to me that Green, Christopher (obviously), Sengun and Garuba all genuinely like each other, too. I don't know if that is or isn't the case with KPJ. But he needs to understand that he is the one that needs to make an effort to fit in.
Not gonna lie, it's kinda pathetic that it took that long for Silas to finally put Sengun in a position to look good.
He's gonna have to develop his 3 ball, it will open so much for himself and teammates if he has gravity beyond the arc. Aside from the obvious team spacing it will create, he has a perfect skillset to do a ton of damage driving past uncontrolled close outs. He can put the ball on the floor and actually create something. I genuinely think he can be a consistent all star level player if he can stretch alongside all of his skills around the rim. He can still be one hell of a player without one, but until he does he will be relegated to a supporting role in the modern NBA. Unless you can dominate high above the rim, you have to be able to shoot to be a foundation piece.
Both really good players, but more perimeter players. Sengun is more of a playmaking front court player -- a skilled, passing center, whose baskets largely come in the paint. I view Dirk and Peja as tall guards and outside shooters in terms of their play.
a lot of weird ifs and buts here...seems like you trying avoid your arguments being destroyed by someone bringing up yanis or somebody... be the leader not the follower *****... anything can happen...this is what brains are made for... to theorize...if your brain is telling something is possible then it doesnt have to happen first in order for it to be possible theres nothing from preventing a player (like alpi) from being dominant in nba with his unique skillset if hes good enough at his thing even without a 3pt shot.... 1. just like nobody envisioned yanis dominating without 3 pt shot 2. or warriors dominating by being a jumpshooting team... 3. or just like nobody saw fatty like harden dominating NBA until it happened.... if a fat guy can be arguably the best player in nba for the second half of the last decade then alpi can do it too without being a 3 point shooter... its fascinating to note that the caveats youve put on alpis greatness were in fact the very things that were doubted and not trusted before - 3 pt shooting...
Sengun is becoming like Ibrahimovic in that if you just watch their highlight reel you'd think they were the best player in the world.
Tonight was the conundrum of Sengun, if he's your lone big man your interior defense and rebounding is just utterly nonexistent. I think you have to pair him with a Jabari Smith or Chet (stretch big who can block) until Sengun gets a deadly 3 (though he was 2-5 tonight, so thats good). Banchero nah. Though I'd rather have him than Sengun.
