Theyre trying to lose. Rockets need one more top pick and for Green and Sengun to develop. If this team wins less than 30 games next year Silas should be fired. If Christian Wood and KPJ are on this team at this time next year Stone should be fired.
Just in case you don't go into the other JG thread I posted this in. I know that I don't go into that one very much myself. I ran the numbers for Jalen Green over February and March (23 games) and this is what I came up with. Then I ran them for the other 3 guys in the top 4 over the same time frame of their last 23 games. Jalen Green 17.8 ppg 3.1 REB 3.3 AST 1.0 STL 0.4 BLK 1.7 TOV 46.6 FG% 37.0 3FG% on 6.3 attempts per game 57.3 TS% Cade Cunningham 19.4 PPG 6.3 REB 5.8 AST 1.1 STL 0.8 BLK 3.6 TOV 43.0 FG% 31.5 3FG% on 4.7 attempts per game 50.8 TS% Evan Mobley 15.5 PPG 8.6 REB 2.5 AST 1.0 STL 1.7 BLK 2.2 TOV 50.2 FG% 13.3 3FG% on 1.3 attempts per game 54.1 TS% Scottie Barnes 16.8 PPG 7.5 REB 3.4 AST 1.4 STL 0.7 BLK 2.0 TOV 51.6 FG% 31.5 3FG% on 2.3 attempts per game 56.7 TS%
That's pretty great. Especially when you consider who he's sharing the ball with and dealing with that deficiency.
Let me see if I can understand this, we won the game putting our draft position at risk. Ok, I accept it. But after the match is locked in, Silas puts Green back on the bench? Again? We are 8 games to the end of the season, let the kid play! I have enormous respect for Silas, but he keeps showing that he is incompetent.
We haven't draft lottery rookie in a while, some folks dont know how to react. I predicted its gonna b pretty heated after we picked the next one
Would be interested in seeing mpg. Like today green would have had 30 easily even if he played 34 min. He has played less than 30 min last 3 games I think
I don‘t get it. Why is he on the bench in the 4th? Is it because of conditioning - fear of injury? To keep him humble? Young players can learn a lot in those minutes - and they can try out things they wouldn‘t in a more competitive situation (floater maybe?). And for the fans and probably Green himself too, it would be great to see him put up another 30+ point game, maybe helping with him winning rookie of the month. So whats the thinking here? He was playing great until then - oh and Wood was in there in the 4th - that makes a whole lot less sense for me…
