UH equalled the boards UH hit shots from outside UH mostly kept out of foul trouble (must do better next game) Those are the keys.
We hit our shots, but damn dude we had our entire front court with 4 fouls for almost the entire last 10 minutes of the game. That's insane. Also rebounds looked a lot worse than it should have. Contested balls we won, but damn if Zona didn't get a crap ton of lucky bounces off of long balls.
He would absolutely destroy people under Sampson. We have 3 kids coming in the next class who are that type of elite athlete. Kelvin is about to build an all time great squad.
I'm waiting on what tonight's locker room is like lol Maybe it's a bit more locked in for obvious reasons. More work left to be done
Sampson has to be coach of the year at this point, right? To do what he’s done this season with the injuries they have had is just phenomenal. And that defense is sick. I don’t love the match up next game, but with the defense you never know. Tremendous effort as usual with that bunch.

Very interesting how the injuries to Sasser and Mark made us rely on the frontline more. This gave Carlton more minutes and brought out the best in Fabian White. (getting him back was big) For years, we were reliant on guards without much talent on the frontline, This change is a big signal. Also, the emergence of Jamal Shead has really made a huge difference. Edwards has played big. The result is a really dangerous team. Definitely Kelvin's greatest coaching job....we're looking good. I see us handling Nova. We get to the Final Four and anything can happen. From next year on we're a perennial top 5 program for a long time.
3 straight sweet sixteens (should be 4. **** Michigan) is just crazy given where we were just 7 years ago.
Our Coogs are one of the most tenacious, intense, and relentless teams I have ever seen play. They harass you from wall to wall and they never seem to let up. I watched Arizonia all season. They were truly elite in most aspects of the game and outclassed almost everyone they played. Houston made them look second rate.
That atmosphere yesterday was absolutely electric. The soul of the 3rd Ward could be felt in that crowd holy hell. Been to many UH games inckuding most of the major football games but can't recall one that felt like that.
