LOL, I just realized that you GARMites started a special thread for the same things we've been talking about all season in the proper forum.

    Stay here.

Paolo just so good. When he flips the switch he’s the best player in the gym. That high/low post footwork will immediately help him in the NBA and he’s a fluid ball handler for his size with great court vision. He is an ISO machine whose gravity creates offense for his teammates and also gives you the ability to take the ball on final possessions and create for himself. Gotta keep an eye on the TOs but overall he had a great game.

If you have a blank slate; with how scoring is typically rated higher than defense.

Paolo is legitimately the only prospect at the top of the board that has consistently shown to be able to create his own shot from anywhere on the floor. I feel he will have a seemless transition to the NBA.

For all the talk about how Memphis was going to upset Gonzaga, Miami is up by 9 early on Auburn.

Lets see how Smith responds to adversity.

This is the first Auburn game I have watched....

I feel like I have been deceived on Smith and Kessler.

    Officially calling out @Clutch

lmao...yeah they are both getting worked over right now. Still early.

Lots of people have been saying this is a weak draft at the top, especially when compared to last year. They're going as far as calling this the elite role player draft lol.

8 minutes in and Smith has no stats aside from a missed FG.

Miami really locking him out of the offense, why isn't Auburn running nonstop P&R and P&P with Smith?

4 missed field goals thank you! Get your facts straight.

Smith has excellent size and shoots the three very well. Otherwise, his offensive game mostly consists of taking a couple dribbles and stepping into a midrange jumper, which is often contested. He is not the type to size up his man and create 1-on-1, which is why I groan anytime someone dares to compare him to KD or even Tatum. He also gets his layups and dunks blocked 30% of the time which is appalling for 6'10".

If we draft him, I hope to hell I'm wrong. But this is what I see as of today.

It says in the article :

Note: The projected 2022 draft order is based on the previous NBA mock draft from Feb. 23. The full 1-58 order also reflects picks owed and owned.

So I'm guessing they're using some kind of predictive outcome or something because it looks like that's what the article that article references states. Of course it's paywalled, so who knows.

Smith is actually pretty damn awful scoring at the rim and he really hasn't shown the ability to put the ball on the floor. Chet and Paolo are good at the rim, and Paolo is pretty elite with the dribble but a bit of a black hole.

Smith is pretty much a high level pure shooter with great length and the athletic ability to guard 1-4. can cover 5s in spurts. I'd say his is very different from the other two.

Of the teams likely go have the 2nd pick, who among them would ever trade a top 2 pick for a couple of role players and higher picks? If we want a top 2 pick we’d have to send Green and I really don’t see the Rockets doing that for any of this year’s top 5 prospects.

I was wondering what would happen if the top guys had mediocre games this weekend.

I figured a lot of people that hadn't watched them all year would base their opinions on just these moments.

If we just go by these games Timme is the clear number one pick and it's not close.
