Reported value is about $29 million per. His home/away splits are jarring. Batting Avg Coors: 303 Away: .241 Slugging Coors: .603 Away: .442 And the list of stats goes on and on in this manner. Look at any successful hitter when they leave there and you'll see the same story (pun intended).. Look up Arenado. It's not good. You want a .250 hitter with a middling slugging pct making 25-30 million a year?
Show me a thread title centered on Trevor Story. You jackwads are amazing. This is not front and center relevant as the Astros are likely to put their name in the hat for his services. Why would I want to scour through a Carlos Correa thread to find anything said about Story?
I’d like Click to go get one of Ketel Marte, Bryan Reynolds, or Cedric Mullins. I agree with not wanting Story- not as adamant as you are but definitely don’t want to commit big money to him. I’m actually pretty damn excited to see what Pena can do.
Are the Astros going to land Story? https://dadlab.xyz/index.php/2022/0...l-it-be-enough-to-win-the-al-pennant-in-2022/
Not a bad plan... shift the correa offensive production to cf and the cf production to shorstop... Only issue i could see is having the necessary prospects to get any of the players you mentioned... Pena is apparently our best prospect so unless the pirates are as foolish as the reds moving winker, we're unlikely to win that bid...
Avoid Story. If we get him, I'd be really @#$#@$. Nolan Arenado is a perfect example. His Avg, HR and RBI are down playing for the Cardinals, lowest ever from the Rockies. He did get 100+ RBI with the Cardinals, but his batting average dropped to .255 from a career .300 hitter playing for Rockies.
Wasn’t Arenado’s splits also big when you look at home Colorado games vs. away….. DJ Limehieu (sp?) numbers have really went up since leaving Colorado… So I don’t think we can just say with any certainty exactly what to expect from Story… to me if money is good, you need to look at possibly adding him.
Agree. It’s not the time too deal top prospects it most certainly take Pena, Leon as starters too get Mullins under four years of team control and that’s a lateral move with a higher risk of disaster. I’d rather sign Conforto or Pham and slide Tucker too CF for a year.
Relax, he just signed with Boston. Another one of the teams we usually fight with for the AL just got better We are still a good team, but have taken A significant step back one mini of arrivals have got better
