While (((Silver and Co))) and the ref squad swing outcomes, the Lakers were awful for years and never picked higher than #2 (though they did pick #2 three years in a row). Knicks haven't picked higher than #3, most notably losing out on the Zion sweepstakes (which was given to NO in return for trading AD to LA).
