Lmao, it is a balanced blend of both. Minny is an extreme example to scare off people from tanking. OKC is a success story too pretty to emulate. Nothing is extreme by nature other than extreme political positioning which is artificial. Good question but this was about the Draft part. Having 3 MVP caliber player plus Ibaka and Jeff Green who could have been borderline All Stars or better is a win outcome in my books. What you do with it and how you keep them happy is an entirely different narrative line down the road! Presti was not renowned for follow up trades. It is probably very hard to be great at both aspects. Also tells you that balanced GMs have the best cards. If you do not have the market like the Lakers have in the West, the best coach like the Spurs have with Pops, the best overall package like the Worriers had. All you could hope is to steal one as the Mavericks did in recent history with the 2nd competitive package.
