Maybe we could send Spoon to Portland. Portland needs to add salary here. Orlando sent all their big salary to us. We could send Taylor or Spoon to Portland along with Francis?
"There has just been a major trade in the NBA" ????? Could this be it, or is it the Dallas deal with Washington??
Yeah, Orlando isnt going to send Tmac+ change away for SAR and DS! Um, no way! lol Like I said, Orlando would have to get Mobley, Cato, SAR, DS and we would get the same group and Portland would have to get Francis +Taylor or Spoon to balance out monies.
So, as far as future teams, are we talking about something like this? === Orlando: Damon Stoudemire Mobley SAR Okafor Cato --- Portalnd: Francis Derek Anderson Sarius Miles Zach Randolph Theo Ratliff === Houston: Fisher/Ollie Tmac JJ Howard Yao
yeah probably...I nearly jumped out of my seat! This dude is slow Stackhouse and Laettner and 5th pick
It won't work any other way. Stoudamire and Shareef both make more than Francis. The only other way would be if Portland takes on Grant Hill.
Ok, so if there's indeed now a third team involved, perhaps Francis opening his piehole has helped this trade? Maybe Weisbrod leaked the Houston trade to set a price, and let all the other teams start throwing players at Orlando out of desperation. But now if there's a third team involved, it means better deal for Orlando. This could go to show that Weisbrod is a freakin' mastermind. There's no way the Suns can top this. Either way, as long as we get TMac, I don't care.
To get a talent like Francis they might have to. I mean this is a team that is willing to take ON salary at times. DS and SAR are coming off the cap next year. Who could they get better on the FA market better than Francis? And PG is a need position for them. It makes sense.
I second that... There's going to be "some" overtime tonight for a lot of GM's/owners, agents and scouts! That's for sure! Those cell phones will be busy until the early morning!
I can't believe they are talking about Hockey now. There are 2-4 MAJOR trades being discussed and the draft tomorrow. Unbelievable.
"The Phoenix Suns have traded the No. 7 pick in Thursday's draft to the Chicago Bulls, ESPN.com Insider has learned. In the process, the Suns may be out of the running for Tracy McGrady." http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2004/columns/story?id=1827142 Great news!
