Does 610 broadcast on the internet?

No, I believe they are still in the prehistoric era of radio.

Ya know, I think this could be a good sign that Weisbrod decided to let himself be interviewed on Houston radio. I mean if things werent close why would he do it? Is he being interviewed in Phoenix?

I get the feeling that his interview on the Magic website was a good way to get his message across to the Orlando Media/Orlando Sentinel and he is using Houston Radio 610 to get his message across to the Houston Media.

Looks like he is continuing to put on his "show".

Ok. So I guess they meant they would have tape of the interview he did earlier today.

They didn't mean he would be on live to be interviewed by Rich & Charlie.

    I don't think it's an interview...

I thought they said they were getting together clips from his interview earlier today, aka what was printed in the articles already out.

    Hope I'm wrong though...

So you are saying that Phoenix is going to move from #7 to #3 via taking BACK large contracts? Basically a bad contract from Chicago would go to Phoenix? That's odd because Phoenix is trying to MOVE contracts to get FURTHER under the cap. They are trying to move Eisley! I dont see them taking BACK bad contracts. They want cap room for serious FA bids.

Again, how can Phoenix move up? It has to be for a player.

Bah, whatever! They might as well read his Orlando Magic website interview themselves live on the air. What a non-event!

Rich just brought up the points I was trying to make earlier:

Weisbrod insinuated that a) THe rockets misled Steve about the trade and b) Misled Steve about him being untouchable.

Maybe the Rockets were mislead by Orlando (and thus unknowingly mislead Francis). Maybe the Rockets thought the deal really WAS close to done. That it would be done after the expansion draft only to have Orlando pull out. In fact much of the media thought it was done!

We have only heard ONE side of the story here so far.

I fully expect the Rockets to comment, when the deal is officially completed or dead. I wouldnt expect anything before.

One thing is for sure, the Rockets and Francis are both looking bad right now until their side of the story comes forth.

I am really hoping Feigen will have an insightful article tomorrow, possibly doing some damage control at the request of the Rockets.

Right, "a player", just not Marion or Johnson. If you read carefully I never said Phoenix would take on a large contract to complete the deal.

Is it confirmed that 610 is doing nothing more than quoting the interview from several hours ago? If so I'll merge this thread with the other since it provides nothing new.

Not a problem. I'm sure they weren't very clear when they first said it either. I share your pain on the "hoopla".
