It's all hypothetical, but if Phoenix happens to move up to #3, they could use the pick to select Igudala, then turn around and include Johnson in a deal for McGrady. We'll have to wait and see.

Our deal is still better than this one IMO...coupled with the fact that TMac won't sign long-term in PHO, Advantage Houston.

 

Houston's gotta start playing the same game that the Orlando guy's playing. Stop playing it close to the vest and doing back-room deals.

Les needs to let Orlando know that Houston's willing to walk away from this deal too, that Houston's not gonna lie around and get screwed by the rookie. Houston's media machine needs to dropping hints that we're looking at other deals for Francis (since it's obvious he can't stay).

Heck, Clutch city can do its part. We need to start some rumors about possible deals, and hope that the media picks up on it.

I'm pretty certain that a piece of the Marion/Johnson/#7 package will be missing if they move up to #3, so it'll still be a no-go even if the Suns turn around and include Johnson.

 

I feel comfortable with Rich and Charlie asking him some pointed questions.

John and Lance will surely muck it up and end up asking him about his favorite Frank Caliendo impression.

 

It just shows you he knows whom he's working for.

 

But if Francis comes back, we're right in the same boat were were before. A mediocre team. No deal! SF must go! Period!

 

Are you inferring that either Marion or Johnson will be packaged with the #7 to move up 4 spots? That's a retorical question (no need to answer). That's just not likely to happen. The Suns are hesitant to include Johnson in a deal that would bring in McGrady, they're not just going to throw him in a package to move up from #7 to #3. And Phoenix is not going to include Marion in such a package, when all the Bulls have to offer back is large contracts. Deals like that just don't take place in the NBA.
