I want Watson to go to whatever team has the most active nightlife...that way he can further derail his career and the picks the Texans get keep going up and up...

well New York has decriminalized prostitution. So if he gets traded there your plan fails.

Add this one to the pile of "no ****, sherlock" posts from the media.

If you're trading for Watson, you're not gonna keep your current starter on the books.

Matty Ice, Baker, etc. They all gonezo.

It’s not true. I’m sure the team has allowed him to talk to teams that will return adequate compensation. Looks like the frameworks are in place before they even meet, which makes sense.

He does. And the Texans have the right to not trade him if they don’t get a sufficient return. So trying to limit the market aint gonna work.

Not convinced Watson somehow doesn't have the leverage which is obviously granted to him by his contract, but OK.

If ntcs worked how you're proposing they would be handed out a lot more liberally.

He can limit the market, but he can’t just pick a team and go there. Any team outside of the AFC South that needs a QB and doesn’t get a visit likely got shut down by Deshaun. But as you can see, there are still plenty of other teams getting to make their pitch. He knows he can’t just give the Texans one option.

For some reason I didn't think you could trade compensatory picks...not sure why...

Honestly Watson and Mulagheta have done more than I thought they would as far as helping the Texans. They allowed a bidding war to take place and now it seems like Caserio will have his target price met regardless of the team Watson chooses.

Seems to me that Caserio has given Watson the list of teams that deals could be agreed upon and Watson decides which team to go to. Couldn’t have played out better at the moment.

I’m not convinced the Texans will allow him to restrict the market and force them to take a bad return, or one they don’t deem as sufficient. And all signs point to them wanting a lot. The team leverage is we don’t have to trade you, so play for us or nobody. It’s your prime you’re wasting. What ya wanna do? Oh…you are open to more teams where we can get something of value? We thought so…

He can make any demand he wants if he's willing to sit out the remainder of his contract.

It's entirely possible he has told the Texans privately he has only one team he's willing to go to, and the Texans are just using the other clubs to gain maximum leverage.

    Not likely, but possible.

I think Watson wants out badly enough and there's little enough daylight between his suitors that he won't be like "I'll only play for X".
