Im afraid you're right. Im fully expecting him to say that New Orleans will be the only team he will play for and limit the return compared to what other teams could offer. 3 picks in the 20s just doesnt do it for me. They have marginal young talent. Davenport, Payton Turner, maybe Cesar Ruiz? I'd pry a vet away just to make it harder for them to compete - preferably Kamara. It sucks to even think about it really.
He really does not have the power to dictate where he chooses to go. He is under contract here. If he does not like the partner we supply then he can dance another round with the Texans. Although this time around he will be forced to play, or receive fines for his unwillingness to do so. He does not carry the big stick in this scenario in any way. If he refuses a trade he plays, and the squad on Kirby escapes pubilc discord for playing an "alleged" sexual deviant. Texans as much as they might try, really cant screw this up unless they cave to Deshaun's desires. Just looking at this from a different perspective.
Ditto...... Correa and Watson sitting in a tree. Taking my work drive away from me and March Madness begins on Thursday. Tonight if you are a die hard. I have already verbally apologized to my liver.
The general feeling within the organization, according to a source with direct knowledge of the situation, was that the meeting was a “great” one. “That being said, it’s still in his hands, as well as the Texans,” the source told The Observer. Two sources previously said no player is off limits to be part of a deal. However, the Panthers would be less likely to trade away McCaffrey or cornerback Jaycee Horn. If the Saints land Watson, a lot of the credit will go to Thomas, who has spearheaded the Saints’ recruiting efforts. The star receiver has lobbied Watson via texts on the opportunity to play with Kamara and himself in an NFL version of the Big Three. He’s also touted the strength of the Saints defense, which has ranked in the Top 10 in both total and scoring defense each of the past two seasons. During Watson’s four-year tenure in Houston, the Texans ranked 20th, 12th, 28th and 30th in total defense. The pitch being that Watson won’t have to carry the load in New Orleans the way he did in Houston. Offensively, he could lean on Thomas, the Saints’ version of DeAndre Hopkins, and Kamara, one of the league' most dynamic playmaking backs, an asset Watson never had in Houston.
Just a heads up. A lot of talk will be made about his deposition today with regards to his civil cases. Down to the absolute barebones what this means is that The Plaintiffs (in this case the Women represented by Buzbee) are getting a chance to get the defendant (Watson) to speak on the record regarding his civil cases. A lot of times cases are settled immediately following defendant’s depositions. One side or both sides can be pushed to settled based on this procedure.
I don't care where he goes, just as long as we get 3-4 (1st rounders) I will also hate the team he goes to & hope he has a shitty career going forward. F Watson.
Besides the fact that the Saints have a terrible package to offer, I don’t like him there because I do like New Orleans and their teams. Send him to Carolina where I have no rooting interest and has the best package.
Jeremiah Owusu- Korimah (spell check). He’s a baller. Solid LB and freak athlete still on rookie deal. He’d be the prize as far as players go in a potential Cleveland deal, IMO here’s a link I found- pretty short article but also includes some footage https://brownswire.usatoday.com/2021/12/02/videos-jok-proving-browns-got-a-steal-in-2nd-round/
