My last name is really from my step-father, who they said legally adopted me when I was 12(which I never saw any paperwork on), and who I never really liked and my mom ended up divorcing anyway, so I have zero reason to keep outside of habit. It's also a PITA French name that everyone butchers, including on my Social Security card and Passport.

Anyone ever considered or looked in to this? Pros? Cons?

How old are you. Seems like it would be a massive PITA. Would probably start flunking background checks.

I think part of the complexity would be to send legal documents to all credit agencies, banks, etc.

Well also your Helo license and associated checks would all start failing. I'm not helicopter level but my TWIC card process would all have to be restarted again.

**** helicopters. I'm 100% pro drone swarm carrying a lawn chair now. No license needed, much cheaper, quieter.

Too complicated and hard to spell. That's my #2 complaint with my last name. Hitler is easier AND has more cachet.

It does provide a machismo twist. Even first names like Francis could sound tougher with Xerobull.

    "what's your name fella?"
    "Francis"
    "lol what??? that's a weaka-"
    "Francis XEROBULL!"
    "oh ****"

Just do away with the surname altogether.

If you're in Texas, probably good to future proof it

    I'd go with Sanchez
