Vogel would merely be the scapegoat when the real reasons the lakers suck is they have a collection of losers and old timers that either suck offensively or defensively. And in some of their players both.
I agree. That said. . .someone said you cannot really fire the players He has lost the locker room completely No Fricking way Rocket River
Silas is here to stay ladies and gents. He is doing a fine job as tank commander and his contract isn’t up next year lol.
Lebron is OVERRATED. The problem is he's not coasting his way through the east anymore. The western conference requires you to compete every night, and Lebron doesn't want that. How does the 2nd best player ever get beat by a Pelicans team? Lebron is NOT top 10 imo
Nash IMO is not the greatest coach but he won't get fired because. . .he has had to put up with alot of Crap Mainly KyRie and Injuries Anyone think THIBBs is on the hot seat? I am looking through the standings and no one seems to be under performing in amazing fashion Rocket River
Vogel because LeBron/LA are b****es McMillan might get canned if Atlanta can't even make the play-in. Same for Thibs though the Knicks have gone on a cute 3 game winning streak.
Regardless of how y'all feel about Silas, he is here to stay. It's a bad look for the organization to fire a coach when the team isn't set up for success. You can have Popovich coach last year's team and he still wouldn't get anywhere.
You're probably right but Atlanta is having one highly disappointing season relative to where they finished last year. If it weren't for Brooklyn and the Lakers' downfall everyone would be talking about the Hawks limping around at the bottom.
Pop has less talent 1 through 15 this year and is only 2 games out of the 10th spot for play in. I agree that Silas isn't set up for success in that the team he signed up to coach (a team with Harden) isn't the team he currently has but he has had enough talent to be better than where they're at right now in terms of W-L. If Silas is taking one for the team/franchise by helping us get a higher pick, kudos to him but I don't think Silas is going to last long, especially if we end up with Smith, Holmgren or Banchero and it continually shows how he doesn't know how perform basic coaching tasks like identifying who your best players are, assigning minutes accordingly, etc. I agree with you in that Silas is "here to stay" but that staying part is most likely one more year and then we bring in an actual/good coach to get this young team to the next level.
Silas is a stop gap coach. I'm not saying he is the coach for a contending team at all. I'm only making a point that Silas is staying until at least the end of his current contract. Also Spurs have quality players like Poetl, Dejounte and Keldon. I also don't agree with your point on how we have enough talent o be better. Wood is an empty stat player, KPJ is not consistent enough, Tate cannot shoot 3s. I think it's fair to expect our record to be at where it is now. We also had a lot of close losses so our record doesn't necessarily reflect how we actually are as a team.
My bad; I guess when you said Silas "is here to stay" I thought it was for the long haul, like beyond his current contract.
On the spurs quality players Were they just great talents found by the spurs or Did the spurs cultivate and develop them into quality players?? Rocket River
I know people have disagreed with me on this one, but I genuinely think both Atlanta and New York are about where they should be talent-wise. I thought both teams did way better, last year, due to the conference being an complete mess, outside of the top 3. This year, Miami and Chicago improved substantially. You still had teams, like Boston, Charlotte, and Toronto who are somewhat competitive. Overachieving Cavs, though roster wise they are better than the Hawks.
