No lie I kinda liked what Ive seen in limited time. Makes me warm to the idea of having Scooter playing off ball. Also doesnt make me rush into drafting Jaden Ivey. Need to start developing these wings and filling out the roster. Give them a couple years to grow together.

Daishen Nix is a very interesting prospect, he's actually a few days younger than Green but he has the James Harden body figure going on.

His shooting numbers are peculiar, he clearly had no long range shot when he played with Green in the Ignite team last season, but he's rapidly improved straight into a 40% 3 point shooter in a single season. However, he's a mere 60% free throw shooter on 5 attempts per game.

It's kind of insane that the Rockets have essentially 3 guys on the roster that can hit 3s at a decent rate, but somehow cannot hit a free throw. I'm not even sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Improve some area each offseason. Maybe he will work on free throws this year. I think the key is to get a good coach with proven results. I think most guys believe that repetition alone will get it done, but you really need someone to help with mechanics. It’s really one of the most important aspects of the game and should not be neglected.

Nope his size, and skill are recognizable - I mean the crispness on his passes, I think he should probably be starting at PG right now.

Nix should be getting more run with KPJ and Green and handling the pg duties to see what that looks like.

When Nix sits KPJ can do his pg impersonation.

I don't think he's ever been known as a shooter -- even in high school. I think some of his improvement is just because he's finally getting in shape. He was fairly lean/solid in high school, then in about a year, I don't know what happened. He's always looked like he wanted to be a playmaker and scored when he had to. I saw a video of him playing Jalen's Prolific Prep team (I think) before the draft and started looking up his info, but nothing outside of maybe playmaking stood out.

The thing I'm more interested in is the one thing that keeps translating from the previous two levels he was at : in high school and in the G-League he got a TON of his buckets by driving and getting layups or sometimes on garbage buckets. In other words, he worked people inside. In high school, I get it... maybe in G-League, I get it... but if he can collapse defenses with that threat in the NBA and still dish off, he's going to be good. His defense is just a plus because he's always been regarded as a natural PG. This is especially true if he continues to get into shape and his outside shot falls. But I'm going to hope he gets more meaningful minutes and wait and see how he does. If he does well, I may give up on tanking for Scoot Henderson or Dajuan Wagner, Jr. lol. jk.

Getting to the basket with ease in the half court against a highly rated and disciplined set Miami defense. Young bull. Give this man minutes.

    thanks for sharing these.

Nice to see him get some extended run. Looks really solid. That vision and control of pace are things he stands out for.

Likely won’t happen but I’d like to see him start with Green and move KPJ to the second unit as a 2 or wing. He needs to get some reps in there for a better evaluation for next season.

I prefer Nix to KPJ at PG. KPJ should maybe be 6th man.

    Nix
    Green
    Martin
    Garuba
    Sengun

    Josh Christopher
    KPJ
    Mathews
    Tate

Everyone else can sit. As much as I like Eric Gordon. Wood should have been traded. Gordon should have been traded.

Off ball Nix has no impact offensively. Nobody passes him the ball and on the rare occasion he does get it, he doesn't want to do too much and passes it almost immediately to somebody else. Silas why are you playing him with Schroder the last 2 games. We want to see him run the point so we can see what he's capable of. Not play Jalen Green's old position of standing in the corner lol.

When kpj and woods are playing together, everyone else is a catch and shoot person. Whatever chance anyone else has gets taken away if Tate is in the game. If you don't get the ball early, you can count on not getting the ball. Half the game they kept arguing with each other about who should have the ball. Kpj is not a pg. I would love to see nix and green play with kmj and senguin and sure Matthews (for the spacing ).
