Would much rather an elite basketball player than “swag”
Also, the kid is confident and would cover up a lot of Green and Alp deficiencies.

    @YOLO

I want Chet bad by the way. I'm willing to say that with my whole chest right now and be wrong if he busts and Jabari Smith ends up being a better player. I don't think anybody can legitimately fault you for going with a kid this tall and this gifted. Especially when there are no other sure thing superstar level players in this draft. Sometimes things just don't work out for whatever reason. I think his upside is worth the risk. He's literally a 1 of 1 type of player.

I'd be happy with either honestly.

Both bring it defensively and have amazing skillsets for their size at their respective positions. I want Chet over Jabari but would not complain about being able to nab either... or perhaps BOTH!

Nets pick for the W! :D

The video from last nights game just shows how elite his defense is already.

Guarding on the perimeter, blocking shots from dribble drive, blocking 3s on the perimeter and is elite around the bucket.

What separates him from Jabari is the handles and offensive upside. Both elite 3 pt shooters but Chet has a much deeper bag already with a ton of upside.

Woah woah woah! What you mean!!! Sengun is definitely swaggy. He needs a new barber, but Alpi got swag most definitely.

    Gimme that sh*t!

His body frame is like the anti-Zion. If he ever collides with Zion, the universe will explode.

Please, Stone, gimme those two Auburn kids.

    Anti-Zion is a good thing.

The frame issue is overrated, he’s strong, doesn’t get beat up and makes up for lack of mass with elite feet and length.

Porzingis has never had a defensive game in his life that would be on par with an average game from Chet.

If Chet can put on 15 lbs of muscle after the draft and entering the NBA, he'll be basically unstoppable. A force on the defensive end as well. We've all seen big guys who weren't able to put on the muscle and get bullied. To be fair there are some who did just fine (KD, Porzingis, etc.) but that's extremely rare.

Best defensive prospect in this draft. Immediately a top defender in the league. With plus offensive upside

Chet will get pushed out of the paint given his current weight and be prone to foul trouble for over the back. That said, he’s going top 3, no doubt.

Good thing he isn’t a paint only player that has to park there like Gobert.
He is an elite shot blocker, one on one defender and team defender.
Also, he doesn’t get pushed out of the way very often.

Can guard 3-5 with ease. Also good on switches and perimeter.
Jabari can’t do what he does and Paolo just isn’t a good enough athlete.

In the college game that is true. In the league he might struggle when isolated in the pick n roll, also, the guys in the paint are a lot stronger than in the WCC. It’ll be fun to watch the game tonight, the Saint Mary bigs bullied him a bit last time.

I’m a big Chet fan, just not sure he’ll be better than Smith or maybe Ivey. Although he will block/change a lot of shots right away, so he’s definitely worth a top 3 pick.

He’s proven it in international play. He’s an elite defender. Mobility at the height is unheard of.
He’s far more than a shot blocker.

Also, he’s played quite a few true bigs in college including Williams from Duke. Once he’s in the league he will literally be a top 3-5 player in the league in terms of length.
