    Being young =! having upside.

The point of rebuilding is to get the best talent available. We failed. It was obvious then to all but the VERY vocal minority.

Thought they were comparing who got it harder in life but who cares now........I am not sure about Lebron but I think both his parents did kind of abandon Jimmy, that is what I meant.

Is it just me or has he started to cool off?.. either way.. the question I have about Mobley is .. will he be the type of player you can go to at the end of the game if you need someone to take over? Watching this Cavs vs TWolves game and they really don’t look for him at all in the 4th.. he did get two wide open 3s to tie the game with less than a minute and missed both. I’m just conflicted on if he’ll be an Uber talented beta male or like an Embiid Duncan KG type that can take over end of games

I don't think he will be the #1 scoring option, I'm sure some guard on his team would be. He would be an elite PNR player and elite defensive player and can potentially be an elite stretch 4/5 in the future. You don't draft every player to be the #1 scoring option in fact that's hardly ever expected.. eventually a small small percentage of players turn into #1 scoring options.

Why do you have that question?

Why does he have to be that player to have been the correct pick at 2?

Who are you comparing him too Green who has not answered that question either and has a lot of other question marks.

There are a lot more guys in the NBA that you can't go to in the close of games than ones you can, so why are we asking that question of Mobley?

Embid, Duncan and KG are 1st ballot HOF's and for some reason we are using them to ask questions about Mobley?

Who was this guy in the last draft that stacks up against those type of guys?

Mobley is just playing up to his ability, not more or less. It also doesn't have much to do with alpha or Beta but more to do with skills and ability on offense.

Duncan, KG, Embiid etc. were all first options on offense on a playoff team, you can dump them the ball and expect them to get you baskets, Mobley is not close to that yet on offense.

He is more early days Kawhi at the moment where the strength is on defense, with upside on offense. But it remains to be seen whether the upside can be realized, same as Scottie Barnes.

The role of the big men is changing, you can get by with not having a super polished post game, and play great defense. But in order to be actually great, you need to be efficient scorers with volume. Giannis, Embiid, Jokic, AD etc. can all score 25+ points as first/second options.

i didn’t say anything about being the #2 pick or Green??…. I’m simply asking a question about Mobleys potential abilities and whether his game is one fitting to be THE GUY and can take over games at the end. Or will he benefit being the talented big man next to the alpha (Chris bosh).. nothing wrong with that.

No, nothing is wrong with asking those questions, it just seems a random time to be asking them because nobody is saying he can do all of those things.

The reason I brought up Green is that those same questions were bandied about constantly in the debate about Mobley vs Green.

He is a rookie, why are we worried about that now?

If he is not that guy, then what?

C'mon. Mobley is just a 20-year-old rookie. Have some patience. ;)

7 pts/4 rebounds/1assist/2 blocks tonight. Yes that’s not getting it done

It's interesting that Harden was actively hunting for Mobley on a lot of possessions, seems like Harden identified him as the weak matchup.

Mobley overrated AF! Playing like a average scrub the last couple games, while Jalen Green is outshining him. Where the Jalen green haters at? Not a single peep from the haters

Mobley is average AF. Garland makes him look better than he is. If Garland was the PG for the Rockets he will make Jalen Green play like a star!
