Yeah! Sitting him in games where he can play without fouling was a great strategy. Pure genius. Of course people will complain about that. That is irrelevant of fouling out this game. There is no conspiracy. Silas is flat out bad. What drives his bad decisions is something that is impossible to tell with our knowledge.

No I agree with you there!
Alpie getting like 19 minutes a game is just mind boggling and I think he should be getting at least 30 minutes per game average the rest of the season.

My point was that the whole "bringing him back early with 5 fouls" thing is totally unrelated to the other issue.
Silas routinely leaves players out on the court with 3 fouls in the 1st half or 4 in the 3rd quarter.
    That's not an "Alpie" thing!

The 19 minutes a game average is though!
I'm at a loss to understand Silas' motivation or his strategy in this regard.
It just doesn't really make logical sense!

I think Silas should go and get a new head coach but of all the things to gripe on him about I wouldn't say this is one of them. Winning is actually losing this year. He didn't need Sengun in there and having him play until he fouls out isn't a bad thing. They don't suspend him for fouling out.

I don't see any changes in his game since he started. KPJ, Christopher, and Green have improvements but I feel Sengun is largely the same player as he was at the beginning. Having said that I would still pick him over Green and hopefully he gets some of his faults worked out.

Bill Worrell would never say damn. He would call The Best Damn Sports Show, "The Best Dang Sports Show" instead. It always made me laugh. If I was paying for those advertisement spots I would have made him say The Best Damn, Damn, Damn Sports show!

Every team forces a switch of quicker point guards against Sengun
at the free thrown line. He has been working on his footwork and
    Improving IMO.

But every once in a while a guy like Reggie Jackson goes off.

Sengun will get better as time goes on. He alrite.

Alpi also plays with Gary Bird and Josh Christopher a lot, both of whom are horrific perimeter defenders (for different reasons - Gary is both slow and a risk taker while Josh has the bad habit of angling himself in the worst way possible when defending). So Sengun often ends up fouling the guy who’s blown by one of these two guys.

I agree. A lot of his fouls are from defensive breakdowns.

You have a weird sense of a teenager.

He is a young adult with 18 in most other countries.

    Teenager 12-17.

He is an adult with some teenage behavior, that all.

Goatee did not fool me but his 240 lbs mass.

And it is 'darn' over there.

    tanking makes perfect sense
alpi is a top 30 player in this league....having him out there for 35 minutes screws with the tank

Sengun has to get faster . He said it himself at the beginning of the season .

he’s not there yet . Needs an offseason or 2 of training along with time and what he’s doing now .

get in the water , explosive exercise , good nutrition ... I hope the rockets coaching , S&C department , and medical team has their plan and that he gets good results from it .

dude has massive talent on the court and is very flexible and strong for someone his age. Explosion without getting hurt is the key to the nba . Smarts and skills help too . He will for sure acquire those over time .

we will take him up to mid 20’s PT next year and then try for 28-30 the year after that .

No one is superhuman . If he plays international too , that’s just tons of basketball increase overall previous years .

It wasn't that long ago when we all complained and/or worried about young Clint Capela's stamina but, as time went on, Clint was able to improve on his stamina and the game moved a bit "slower" for him. I think Sengun will be fine. It's hard to improve on your weaknesses if you don't get consistent minutes or if your playing time tapers for no good reason.

Have not watched a game in ages, and it's disheartening that he is still reaching.

If he is as good a defensive player as we think he is, he needs to trust his positioning and footwork.

He was super nice too. We was walking by my table at club area during halftime. I said what’s up to him. He stopped for a sec and said hi to me and my cousin. Class act.
