    I happen to love Steely Dan and for some reason they have been trending the last 2 days, and it's interesting to see the takes.

    I think they were musical geniuoses and they are one of the artists that makes me feel something every time I her them.

    I am surprised there is a backlash or negativity around them.

    saw them a number of years back at an amphitheater in San Diego. Watched the show from a buddies sail boat. Every song is one you've heard a million times. Don't think i've ever owned a Steely Dan album but I appreciate their music.

    They were big fans of the Beat Generation literature of the 50's, and took their name from a fictitious supercharged dildo in "Naked Lunch"

    Naked Lunch is one of my all-time favorite weird movies, I think I even read the book because it rings a bell now.
