Yep….he’d at least play Wall. Why do they give Gordon 30+ minutes and Schroder 27 minutes a game but sit Wall who gets paid quite well no minutes a game. To play young players right??? What am I missing?

Silas has purpose. He lets us keep Lucas when the coaching staff is cleansed. I truly believe Silas is a good person and wants great things for the Rockets. I also believe Silas has no systems in place that offers structure, which would let Harden be Harden and Wall be himself, too. Perfect hire at the time. Well time was not friendly to Silas. Sadly Silas has not changed much of anything since his arrival but the team needs has. I watch the games wondering about the coaching perspective and how he does NOTHING. I see a “player’s coach” without players. I see a mistake free environment without correction and no response which means no growth. Oddly, I do think Silas cares. How could any coach let Wood play the way he does? Game after game. Not rewarding the positive things. Honestly all 4 of the rookies look successful at times but they NEVER build on it. Where is the growth. It seems in spite of Silas most of the time.

The team is tanking, he had no chance whatsoever without a true pg. Once we decided 2 stand pat at the deadline I knew we were tanking

Lucas or anyone on that bench is not worth being called a head coach in today's NBA.

Firing someone now just looks bad and doesn't do anything for a rebuilding group, it will just confuse them. Offseason is easier.

This one of the best posts written on this thread! Never thought about how perfect he would have been for Harden. Total freedom and let him just play his game like MDA did (without MDA’s occasional temper at the other players). Per Hollins, Silas is the nicest coach in NBA history. Deserves a front office job, but get him off the court as he is killing this team in more ways than one.

Did the Rockets have an opportunity to hire Ty Lue? He's doing a hell of job with the Clippers.

Silas biggest failure was trying to make Harden an off ball player and make Wall ball dominant with greenlight to iso.

He lost Harden even more with that.

And the one thing Harden can be counted to do is weaponize and empower other players, especially the young players.

Harden is a true coach on the court who simplifies responsibilities and understands the nuances of the game, especially on offense, unlike Wall.

I hate Silas also, But didn't we as an organization do that when we brought in Westbrook?

Rockets were still top team in the west even WITH Westbrook.

Silas hire signaled to both Westbrook and Harden that Rockets no longer were all in on competing for championships.

Also believe the Stone promotion added to this since neither appreciated not being consulted before this happened.

I don't think he signed up to play babysitter and sitting their best player to add gas to the tank.

HC gets paid the big bucks for adjusting when our priorities change so I don't know who would be a better replacement (Steve Kerr? Lololol) but he ain't looking great at the development front rn

Dude made up for posting the entire context

Maybe Harden did push for Westbrook to be brought in but by the end of their first season together, I think Harden had enough smarts to understand Westbrook was going to fatally flaw whatever team he played on.

The sale of the Rockets to Fertita AND the CP3 trade buried us. The CP3 trade is just as much on Harden as Fertita. Harden didnt have the stones to deal with CP3.

Silas sucks and Stone has been questionable but at least they are setting us up to tank.
