Saw it earlier, today. Heard about the diss, a few days ago. This needed to be said. Giannis for all of his flaws is a once-in-a-lifetime talent. Someone actually listed a whole slew of starting power forwards from 96-97. And, yeah, Giannis would be much closer to Barkley, Malone, or Webber than he would be those 2nd and 3rd tier starters. He's probably the best ball-handler of the four, and the most athletic, perhaps even the strongest of the four. Probably about the best passer in group, though comparing to Webber is tough, but playmaking overall might favor Giannis. He's by far the best defensive player of the group, I dare say he would've probably been the best defensive PF of that period (much better than Oakley, who was pretty good), but KG was a rookie and TD was still in college. Still, like KG, Giannis can defend wings, beautifully. The one weakness, he probably has is ...shooting. But for that era, he wouldn't necessarily need to be a great shooter, especially for PF.

Yeah, Oakley’s delusional. Giannis is a freak athlete. Ralph Sampson is a good comparison, and young Hakeem in terms of pure raw athleticism.

Charles Oakley would basically be Taj Gibson if he played today. Oakley’s certainly not making an all-star team in the 2020s with his limited skill set. Give me a break.

You put Charles Oakley in the NBA today and he'd be Isaiah Stewart.

Undersized power forwards can’t guard Nigerian Centers

He did have a 35pt 26rb 7ast performance as a rookie, and then topped that two years later with another 26pt 35rb game. both regulatuion games with MJ as teammate. fwiw
