KD is coming back in the next couple of days

interesting in seeing how he carries the team with QAnon Kyrie only able to play like 7 more games and Ben “my brain and my back” Simmons not ready to go

Nets without Harden the past 2 seasons have been mediocre…at the time of the trade last year, they were barely .500

Is Nash gonna be playing KD 38-40 minutes, especially at home, just so they can get some wins?

I think Kyrie will be full time by week's end. I'm less certain about KD staying healthy the rest of the year. I still think they make the playoffs, unfortunately.

If I was Nash I'd shut down KD for the rest of the season to prepare for next season...no point risking injury when you're not gonna win a championship this year anyway, what with Kyrie being a part-timer and Ben Simmons being whatever he's being right now.

Plus, they can tank for a great pick! :p

NY mayor hasn’t indicated that he’s dropping the Private Employer mandate soon so I think Kyrie will still be part-time for the forseeable future

if KD remains healthy, I think they’ll make it for sure…the Hornets have imploded and the Hawks just ain’t got it this year

Just lose out, Brooklyn. Go in to next year healthy and give it a real shot!

"Vaccine passports will no longer be required in New York City starting March 7, Mayor Eric Adams said."
"But he said starting March 7, patrons at Big Apple restaurants, gyms and indoor venues will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination."

Not quite week's end, but within a week. Not that I'm excited about it. I'd rather he remain part time. I really don't think we should count on that pick falling any lower than where it currently is.

That says patrons though? I'm not sure what that means in regards to "employees"?

That still doesnt mean Kyrie will be able to play. The Barclay's Center is still under the Private business mandate I believe. Thats what Shams said I believe.

They were two different quotes. Maybe they were referring to the same thing. The first one said New York City will no longer require passports. I assume that meant for everything.
I would definitely be interested to hear the science behind 25,000 fans not needing a passport, but the 15 players on the team do.

that doesn’t have anything to do with Kyrie tho, he is still under the Private Employee mandate

he can enter Barclays, but he still can’t play…it doesn’t make sense to me, but that’s the law in NYC

That is so bizarre. I wasn't aware of that distinction.

it’s a nonsense ruling IMO, but until it’s removed, Kyrie still can’t play

hundreds of workers just lost their job due to being unvaccinated, and Mayor Adams said the other day that he can’t make an exception for Kyrie because it would send a bad message

You’re dreaming if you think the nets will slide down further. With KD back they will start winning.

There are 2 rules one for patrons/spectators/public; and one for employees.

As of March 7th, there is no longer a vaccine mandate for patrons/spectators/publics. As in Irving can buy a ticket to see the game without a vaccine.

There is still an employee vaccination mandate for large corporations and business with people with more than 100 employees such as the one that owns the Nets.

Adams could say Kyrie is exempt, but then he would have to justify that mandate for all other NYC businesses/employees.
Nets owner Tsai could pay the fines, but then he would have to justify why he is forcing other employees to meet the mandate.

So, what was Ben doing this whole time that some little ramp up is enough to injure his back? We all know he wasn’t working on his game during his extended vacation. Was he at the house playing Fortnite instead of staying in shape? If it’s magically healed on like March 13th, this will be the most embarrassing saga ever.

Hawks and Hornets are too terrible to leapfrog even a KD-less Nets team. I'm not expecting miracles from them. Hopefully Celtics and Raptors continue winning so they stay 8th place.
