AOC as about the same expression as some of the Republicans. She clapping but doesn’t look enthusiastic
I'm going to need the fed to address the inflation issue while the politicians are distracted by the Ukraine-Russia conflict. I get it, its priority #1, but I'm not too happy about the suffering of the low and middle class Americans being swept under the rug for this distraction -- hopefully this isn't the start of the war machine being drummed up again, but that's what it seems like. EDIT: "Distraction" is harsh, but this is all too convenient.
It’s not a bad speech. Was good to see it get much more bipartisan as it went and big finish. The problem was in the delivery. Biden just isn’t a great orator. Too many running over applause lines, mangling texts and some of the annoying Biden asides. The speech though hit upon what he needed to hit and laid out a good agenda that the Democrats would be wise to follow. Given that Rep. Tlaib has decided to give a “Progressive” response I’m not sure they will. Overall I give it a B.
Someone said something in the crowd while President Biden was discussing his son Beau. I couldn't hear it but it got a reaction out of Biden and it looked like he was staring the person down. EDIT: forgot I'm like 20 min behind.
Lauren Boebert was shouting about 13 dead in Afghanistan while Joe was talking about his son. Reports are she was standing up commenting the entire time. Supposedly her colleagues were sushing that waste of skin.
